Dominique has a wonderful place. It is perfect to disconnect, live with nature without losing any comfort.

Stephen's place and project is amazing! The area, the reforestation and sustainability project they have is really interesting. If you want to relax and have a different experience and not far from the city, this place is perfect for you. Very good breakfast with fresh and organic products. The room is like a glamping but very comfortable. Of course, you don't have electricity and the bathroom is private but outside the tent, but it's perfect for drying off and disconnecting from nature.

How to summarize a review for a place that has the potential to change your life has been a task. To stay with Cheryl and Jon at the Finca Aveterra is to be unplugged yet connected, cared for with generous hospitality, educated and informed of new ways of living; and for us specifically, reminded of who our Creator God is and the life He intended for us to live. It has been difficult to leave and felt like a departure from friends, family and home when we did. Cheryl was beyond gracious, helpful and thorough coordinating our arrival and departure, performing chef duties (unbelievable), connecting us to in-country travel means, greeting us in the middle of the night; Jon was passionately energetic sharing about syntropic agroforestry, touring us through the farm, the valley (!!), and both touring us through the lodge, sharing the fruit of their labor (literally), engaging conversation and generosity. Everything was very good, I would always come to stay

this house was spectacular! It exceeds to photographs, it is spacious and beautiful. The views were also outstanding. The only downside to the location is that it's on a hill on a busy city bus route, so there is a lot of noise from the air brakes. But the gem of the house is Carmen, the caretaker. She will take care of anything you need with a smile. She doesn't really speak English, but with our learning level Spanish and translation apps, it worked. She and Maria made a fantastic breakfast for us on Easter morning. I highly recommend treating yourself!

My visit to this place was much more than a getaway - it was an experience of those that stay in memory, not only because of its natural beauty, but because of the way I was received. From the first moment I felt like a VIP client, cared for in every detail and surrounded by an attention that is not always found. The setting was simply spectacular. Surrounded by nature, with carefully maintained gardens, gentle sounds of running water, and a tranquility that enveloped it all, the place seemed designed to disconnect from the world. But what really made the difference was the service. Getting out of there was difficult. I left feeling valued, relaxed and very, very grateful. Not every day you find a place where you not only stay, but you feel truly special.

We enjoyed staying with Julian, he always answered our doubts shortly. Comfortable and safe place to rest. We went for work and the house was well equipped for our needs.

What a stunning and one of a kind getaway! The Bird Tower is truly unique and an incredible experience. The views from every level of the tower give a glimpse into different parts of the canopy. Waking up at dawn to hear the birds and see the sunrise at the top level was an unforgettable experience. The night walk was a cool bonus and it was so nice to be on site and just head to bed afterwards. Eric was very kind and helpful. He arranged a taxi for us to and from Quito with a wonderful driver. This is a must stay if you are visiting Ecuador!

This sanctuary was a highlight for trip to Ecuador. The cabin was beautiful, cozy and had the most beautiful views and surroundings. The king sized bed was awesome, not a lot of them in Ecuador from the Airbnbs I searched. Ivan provided the staple breakfast items and we ate like kings/queens after walking around Mindo all day. The property is well kept and truly spectacular. We spent our morning bathing in the river nearby while the doggie kept us company and played lifeguard. We’d go back in heartbeat and we plan to sometime in the near future.
