Bungalow vacation rentals in Alentejo

Really enjoyed our stay with Steven & Lisa in their lovely bungalow in the quiet Portuguese countryside. We had everything we needed for our 11 night stay. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again. Thank you both. The nearby town of Tavira is worth a visit and has plenty of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. Further afield are the many beaches and the fabulous Parque Natural da Ria Formosa with walking and cycling trails and good birdwatching. We hired bikes from Abílio bikes in Tavira, quite expensive but very well maintained. You have to book a day or two in advance to be sure of getting the right bike for your needs.

A wonderful place to relax. The property leaves nothing to be desired. The location is great for excursions to the Algarve or the mountains. I felt very comfortable with Marga and Rob. They were very caring. Thank you so much for the wonderful time and I will certainly be back! 😊

we had a great stay at Florence and JC. 's a great welcome! we immediately felt very comfortable with them! they informed us about the area, the restaurants, the activities...at JC and Florence, there is everything to spend relaxing moments in peace. In the large garden there are plenty of places to settle, with garden lounges, sunbeds, armchairs, rugs and cushions ... not to mention the swimming pool, of a beautiful size , at the end of April! We loved Alipio's place so much and would definitely return again. The four dogs were so friendly and very welcoming to our own dog, he felt part of the pack right away. Maria, her husband and their grandson were very helpful with anything that we needed and also very warm and easy to talk to. The place itself was perfect for us, we felt right at home and the view was incredible. This place is perfect for a tranquil and relaxing getaway from the busy stresses of life. very nice and relaxed house, great views from cosy roof terrace. well equiped and decent size (unheated) Pool. Clean and comfertable within close distance from shops, beaches and villages. you do need a car to get around.

Amazing place, very quiet and isolated, in the middle of a pine tree forest. It was not obvious to find but Maria Ana was very proactive and helpful with the instructions so it was not a problem. We were not lucky with the weather but in October this is not a huge surprise. The place is close to the best beaches in Comporta and some of the best restaurants.

Property located very close to the center of Fuseta with parking in front of the house. The exteriors are beautiful and we were able to enjoy the beautiful pool on the property. Inside it's functional, there's everything we need! Small downside for the double bed, the mattress slides on the structure and the under mattress, it's not very comfortable. The shower is large and the windows are equipped with screens which allow you to sleep with windows open at night. The terrace is shaded and very pleasant. Very discreet hosts, we were able to enjoy the pool at our leisure ( which is really beautiful) A great stay as a family 2 adults, 2 teenagers. We would recommend this listing!

This was immaculately maintained and designed, with everything you could need. This was the perfect place for us, as we live in the country with our closest neighbour just under a km away. This was similar. It was quiet, peaceful and the views from the balcony(s) were great. We took turns using different balconcies based on the wind and the sun. When it was too windy or sunny, the huge great room with floor to ceiling windows on three sides made it like we were outside, even when we were inside. Although we never went to Alcobaça, we drove to Nazaré a couple times (15 easy minutes) and they have a ton of great restaurants and waves to watch. We also drove to Peniche to take the ferry to Berlengas, and it was also a short 40 minute drive. We got some groceries in Nazaré and spent lots of time at Jan's place too as the pool was just too inviting (although quite refreshing this time of year). Of the three Airbnb's we stayed at in Portugal, this was our favorite.
