Vacation rentals with lake access in Alentejo

Monika was an amazing host. Very friendly and super responsive. We loved the house and its unbeatable location right on the beach. We were 3 of us, which was perfect. Wouldn't recommend this place for more than 4 guests due to its size and the fact that you have to share one small bathroom. Overall I would absolutely recommend it as a cute little beach house with an unmatched beach setting.

The house is very well located, for those looking for a quiet stay and in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for hiking, bike riding or water sports. The house is very well taken care of and has everything it takes for a great stay. We will return for sure.

We spent three great days as a family, the house is beautiful, very comfortable, in a wonderful place, super quiet and close to a lake and a magical beach, with a few sunsets worth seeing. We will definitely repeat place and accommodation.

An authentic accommodation tastefully decorated and functional, close to the sea, restaurants etc... Tom is very responsive. Beautiful place, we'll be back with pleasure!!

We spent 5 days with a group of five in Antony's modern house. We were absolutely happy with the place. The furniture is new, the house is well maintained, everything necessary is available. The pool is large and has a springboard, which is why the water depth on one side rises to about 3m. This is something to keep in mind when there are non-swimmers. There are some restaurants nearby, but you need a car. Shops are also easily accessible by car. Lisbon is about 40 minutes drive and definitely worth a visit. All in all, we enjoyed it very much. :-)

I have to start by mentioning that Florbella was easily the greatest host I've ever had on Airbnb. She went absolutely out of her way to make us feel welcome with little and bigger touches, up to and during our whole stay. She was non intrusive while being fully available and very responsive the whole time. She makes you feel like a treasured guest in her home. This is a lovely home in a beautiful setting (although can feel a bit tight inside for a couple given the space is heavily optimized to fit three couples). This was a deliciously relaxing cozy winter stop for us in the middle of a two week trip in Portugal but I can only imagine what a gem this place becomes in the warmer months. A special mention for the breakfast set up, the outdoor table / breakfast area is spectular and Florbella has a fresh bread / pastries delivered every day in a little box outside the house as well as the veggie garden. Finally do book Tiago for a private dinner if you can, he's a total gem!

We had a fantastic time at Herdade do Montum. The host was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The house is a little gem, very cosy and beautiful, and the surroundings are lovely, very green and quiet. We had both dinner and breakfast at the Herdade, and both were delicious. Highly recommend a stay here for a couple of days to recharge and enjoy a quiet holiday!

The apartment at Portimão is delightful. It is very comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped. Both lounge and bedroom are exceptionally comfortable. The highlight is the balcony which overlooks the beach and has sunshine thru’ the afternoon until a beautiful sunset in the evening. The hosts are very responsive, helpful and welcoming. A stay here is highly recommended - once you relax on the balcony you will not want to leave ….

Great apartment I felt like I was in my house since I had everything I needed, it has all the appliances we need in our daily lives. Outdoor Space Well Treated and Careful,. Location is perfect, we were able to go anywhere dr car to 10 minutes from the Zona beach very calm and quiet perfect to rest. Just get in and accommodate.

As much as we loved Cabanas and Tomás’ unit, what was most outstanding was the manner in which Tomás communicated with us. In travelling, you meet all kind of people, Tomás stands out as a man of great character, he made sure that everything worked out as promised.

The apartment is nice and spacious. The terrace not overlooked is a plus even if the sea view is limited. The building is well secured. The rooftop pool is small but offers a pleasant space after a long day of sightseeing. The view is beautiful.

We have had a really lovely relaxing week - loved the apartment which was spacious for us as a family of 5 (three adults and two teenagers) and having two bathrooms definitely helped - it was very comfortable and well equipped, and handy to have use of a washing machine. Note that two bedrooms are interconnected by sliding doors which we didn’t realise. Was really peaceful apart from the dogs barking which others have pointed out but we got used to it and didn’t bother us too much. We also liked going up to sit by the pool. The location was great - very short walk to the coffee shops and restaurants, and to the Lidl nearby too. Have stayed in other towns along the coast and this has come out on top! Thank you for a brilliant week - would love to come back again.

Perfect location, easy walking distance to everything that Lagos has to offer with an excellent view from the top floor balcony. The space was on the small side but more than enough room for what the two of us needed, and everything was very clean and comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and temperature. The only negative was that there’s a strong smell of cigarettes from the neighbor’s place both in the hallway before walking into the room and sometimes on the balcony, but it is perfectly clean and no cigarette smell inside the apartment. This small detail was obviously outside the control of the owner and we had a perfect stay in Lagos at Rainer’s place! The location cannot be beat and the apartment was perfect.

After a very warm welcome, we instantly felt like home. Ana left some goodies in the kitches for the first meal on the nice terrasse with a remarkable view! We were 4 adults and two Kids and the flat was very comfortable that everybody had there own space to relax and chill. I can highly recommend to spent a vacation there. Thanks to Ana and Richard.

Staying at Jan's place was very pleasurable for us. The house was even more than we expected from the listing, very spacious, cozy and tidy. The surroundjngs are very peaceful, beautiful oranges garden and easily reachable by car. Would recommend this place to anyone and would gladly return back in the future.

Carlos and Ilda were very helpful, we had access to bicycles which unfortunately we didn't use because of the rain. The place is very cozy, the jacuzzi was perfect also in this weather. The yard is beautiful to spend time in, there's also the warm shower which was perfect after the jacuzzi. The kitchen has all you need to cook, including basics like oil, vinegar and spices. Ilda greeted us with fresh bread, a bottle of wine, eggs from her chickens and even some freshly baked pie. Piçarras is a super sleepy little town that normally has a bar open but wasn't working maybe owing to our visit coinciding with Carnaval. Overall great experience and happy to recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and get away from the city.

We had a great stay and would recommend. The house had everything we needed including heating as it was pretty chilly in December! The kitchen was fully equipped, the bed was really comfortable and everything was really clean. We really loved staying within the farm and witnessed a goat give birth to two kids which was wonderful. The house is one of a few houses within the farm grounds but our pool was private and we weren’t really aware of any other guests. Quick drive to supermarkets and the beaches of Comporta and Melides were about half an hour away.

Very beautiful and organized place. In fact, it is necessary to take all the items of consumption (food and drink) as the local commerce is far away. The recommendations given by the host were clear in this regard. I recommend this place to enjoy days of peace and tranquility in a beautiful landscape!

We liked everything about the stay in casa Mimosa. It sure isn’t a place to party, it is a location to enjoy peace and quiet. Casa mimosa house is divided to two halves, but it isn’t a problem at all - there is enough privacy and terraces are located separately. The house is well equipped and clean. Lovely garden that you can explore freely. Sometimes there is a baker who brings fresh bread to the reception area. Prem welcomed us kindly and took us and our luggage to the house, recommended local hiking trails, restaurants etc. It was wonderful to relax in total peacefulness, the sleep quality was epic.

A magical place to stop, breathe and reconnect! Our bedroom/little house was very comfortable, with all the amenities, an equipped kitchen that was very useful to us and everything extremely clean! High points were Rio's privacy, the endless tank and the cutest animals (especially our friends Robin and Artur). Thanks to Jorge and Maria for all the attention and care with us during the stay. It's really an experience to repeat 😊
