The Barn at Port Farm is a unique and generous studio space. Originally a threshing barn, but recently converted by the owners into a modern space which respectfully retains the character and proportions of the original barn. The eclectic mix of quirky, vintage objects and art give the Barn its unique character. A perfect hideaway for couples looking for something a little out of the ordinary.
“Excellent location, just a few minutes outside Bideford yet feeling quiet and peaceful, as though we were miles from civilisation. The barn is just as described and shown in the photographs. It has a comfortable, cosy feel to it as soon as you walk through the door. Lucy was there to greet us, showed us round and explained how the wood burner worked. There plenty of logs and firelighters. Super comfy bed and sofas with throws, a very well equipped kitchen with large cupboard space, large garden and field for our dog to stretch her legs - it was all pretty perfect!”
Blackbird barn is set in rolling Devon countryside within easy reach of Great Torrington, Bideford and Barnstaple. Situated within our grounds the barn is self contained and separate from the main house. The accommodation includes a comfortable and cosy sitting room with dining area, a well equipped kitchen, a downstairs bathroom and a double bedroom upstairs.
“Once again Joanne and Robert's place was perfect for our stay in Devon. Very cosy and warm with very good under-floor heating throughout the ground floor and a wall heater in the bedroom (which we didn't need). Joanne and Robert are lovely and friendly and helpful with directions etc. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, cups plates etc and also breakfast provisions, biscuits and snack bars, which went down well! Thanks, again and I'm sure you will see us again. 5☆”
Newly refurbished, light and peaceful space with dedicated off-road parking and private entrance. The flat is perfect whether you are in the area on business, visiting friends and family or looking to explore. We are less than 5 minutes drive/cycle from Barnstaple town centre and only 2 minutes from the A361 (North Devon Link Road), with easy access from the M5. There are cycle and footpaths at the end of the road giving off road access to the Tarka Trail.
“We stayed at Emma's place for 2 months during the Covid-19 lockdown, as my partner was an essential worker and we wanted to reduce the risk of potentially passing something on to our family. Emma gave us a very reduced price and her and her husband were very accommodating. As we stayed there for several months we had some parcels arrive throughout our stay, which they generously accepted for us. Throughout our stay they provided very fast responses whenever we had a query and made sure we were comfortable in our new living space. My partner and I would highly recommend Emma's place as it is a lovely little flat in a great location, close to plenty of beaches, and she is a magnificent host! Thanks again Emma :)”
