“Great English BnB. Prompt communication for the booking, friendly welcome when I got there, lovely room, spotless, and the bathroom was superb. Breakfast was lovely, Ken said I could have any variation on breakfast, but the full English was what I wanted anyway, fresh fruit and a variety of cereals, fresh coffee, everything I needed in a homely atmosphere. In fact, everything I would hope for at an English BnB. Thank you Ken and Sylvia!”
A beautiful 300 year old house in a Derbyshire village setting. Private access to your accommodation. A lovely en-suite private bathroom with bath and shower adjoins the bedroom and a cosy sitting room beyond. Off road parking. Circular pub walks from the doorstep. Within easy reach of Alton Towers, Chatsworth, Kedleston Hall, Crich Tramway, and the Derbyshire Peak District. But you really don't need to drive anywhere if you just want to chill out, as there are lots of things to do nearby.
“I stayed with David, Justine and their family for a week whilst visiting my mum in a residential home in the area. I couldn’t have been any luckier discovering this family and their property. I was traveling alone and felt safe in the self contained apartment. I could also access the house to use the kitchen and laundry facilities as I needed to. David and Justine made sure there was breakfast for me each morning, and even made me a full English at the weekend which was wonderful and Ted the dog was great company whist I ate it !! The house is a beautiful listed property and the accommodations have been thoughtfully laid out with everything that you might need. I highly recommend this property.”

“I couldn't have asked for more from this stay. I stay in many hotels with work and what I look for when using Airbnb is that "home from home" feeling to a place, having my own space to cook (I enjoy it) and not to be living, eating, showering and working in pretty much the same four walls. I can't recommend this location enough. Alison has clearly taken a time and effort to create a clean, comfortable and homely environment. There are modern touches for those that like the digital creature comforts and you couldn't ask to be more centrally located to the amenities. Information on the nearby eateries, should you need it, has been provided and all aspects of the furniture and fittings have a quality feel about them. Alison herself was kind enough to meet me and show me round, given the humid weather on the day I was also very touched that a fan was bought over as a little extra and made use of it. I'd say it was the kind of stay you always hope to have, effortless and enjoyable. Thank you again Alison.”
