Sea La Vie: Anchor Bay Village, Gualala

From the moment you arrive at this lovely vacation rental in south Mendocino county, Sea La Vie feels like home. This bright and welcoming 3 bedroom, 2 bath home offers a gorgeous blue water ocean view easy access to the beach, grocery & restaurants. This is a detached, single-family home, so you have use of everything present, except the garage. Make yourself at home! NOTE: There are three bedrooms. One has a king-sized bed, one has a queen-sized bed, and the 3rd bedroom has bunk beds and a trundle bed. The bunk room will be a tight fit for most adults, especially tall ones, but seems to work great for kids. PETS: Sea La Vie & Driftwood both allow dogs. However, Airbnb does not have a way to charge for dogs, so if you are booking through Airbnb and not directly through our website, folks generally leave the pet fee in cash on the table as they leave. The fee is $45 for one dog and $50 for two. Please do your best to keep the dogs off of the beds and furniture because that creates an enormous amount of additional cleanup work for the housekeeper. We manage the home, but do not live on premises; however, we are close by if you need us, and we want your stay to be as memorable as possible, so please contact us if something needs attention, or can be improved to better your time with us. Quiet Time Rules: We want you to have a wonderful time while visiting, but we also need to respect the rights of neighbors to have quiet time, so please remember to bring the noise inside between the hours of 10PM & 8AM. As described by the Redwood Coast Chamber of Commerce: Anchor Bay, a small southern Mendocino County coastal village, lies in the heart of the "banana belt", because of it`s unique microclimate; a warm column of air from inland spills over the protective coastal mountains, making the area warmer, with less fog and wind, than the surrounding areas. In the striking photo to the right by West of One, note the fog bank that blankets the coast just north of the curve of Fish Rock Beach. The seclusion of this bay and Fish Rock Beach was enormously attractive to rumrunners during Prohibition. The long wind-protected white sand beach offers fishing, abalone and scuba diving, ocean kayaking, surfing, boogie boarding and skim boarding in season, sea lion and whale watching, beachcombing and tide pooling. Public access is through Anchor Bay Campground for a nominal access fee to use the beach or launch watercraft. Tent and RV camping is also available. The town offers an old-fashioned village market that specializes in natural foods with a complete wine & beer emporium. There are currently two restaurants & a cafe just below the rental home. Our vacation home is close to the village of Anchor Bay and the town of Gualala. This area of California coast is a hidden gem, where quiet and peace prevail. The home is nestled in the woods but minutes away from countless beaches and spectacular coastline. There are restaurants and dining nearby, plus family-friendly activities, and certainly this is also a truly romantic getaway. Our vacation house is good for couples, families (with kids), and small/medium dogs (with $20/night pet fee).

Cute and Cozy House with Country Views

Get away from the crowds. Set back off the road but close to the beach which is very quiet and beautiful. Great views all round with the ocean, mountains and meadows with cows quietly grazing. Very calming. especially in the hot tub. Close to the the well stocked local store. You’ll love the house because of the outdoors space, beautiful gardens and the cool, clean ocean weather. It's really cozy on the foggy days. Go back in time.
