Absolutely loved our stay!! Having that beautiful view to wake up to and visits from the cows was magical and the kids loved it!! The space was perfect for our family and the kitchen was such a social space! Jane was very responsive. We will be back!

We loved our stay! Ruth's place was exactly as described. She was warm and welcoming with lots of local recommendations for our dogs to walk too. Her home was beautiful with lots of little touches that made the place feel like home. Yes, the stairs are steep and this was no issue as we read the description before arriving. To the person saying these are like ladders in another review.. this certainly isnt true. They are steep stairs, but when you take the stairs up to the bedspace you are met with the most lovely cosy space; dimly lit beautifully. We made use of the sauna despite me not being able to tolerated it but even so was a lovely added facility to try. The dogs settled well in the kitchen overnight and despite being on the main highstreet it was blissfully quiet. No disturbances what so ever. And we are hoping to come back and explore the area more!

A real hideaway, very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The surrounding landscape is lovely and The Lodge has views over both the church and the yurts. Sarah was always available to communicate with online and in person which made the whole trip feel friendly and meant that we learned the best places to eat! The hot tub was fab. There is a lovely farm with cafe just over the road and good pubs to eat at. We visited both Calke Abbey and Kedleston Hall whilst there, both well worth the visit.

Heather was a fantastic host and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We were staying for a nearby wedding and the house provided the perfect place for bridesmaids and bride to get ready! Beautiful comfy bedrooms and absolutely spotless. Thank you
