We met with friends. These moments are already precious but when you share them in a place like this it is even more appreciated. Everything is absolutely perfect. The place is beautiful, peaceful, the house is the dream. Everything is designed so we can be at home. Everything is of quality. Host hosts are very responsive and available. We had the most wonderful week staying in this beautiful home. It’s enormous! The dogs loved the size of the gardens, the pool is actually an infinity pool and bigger than it looks. It’s french gite with a whole load of chic thrown in. There’s even 2 kitchens! The view from both the pool and the patio is truly unbelievable. A little paradise in the middle of nowhere (about that, the address doesn’t get you to the property on apple or Google maps. Luckily we have found it on a satellite versions before we left, identifiable by the location and layout of the pool in relation to the house, so we used that to get us to the gate). There are giant screens in a couple of the rooms and the Wi-Fi worked so when it got a little hot (it’s been 38 degrees) the kids kept cool watching movies. The place is super well stocked - more than you could ever need for cooking with and the bbq was perfect for outdoor dining every night. The bedrooms are enormous and three large bathrooms all very elegantly done. It really is such a spacious property. The nearest town with supermarket and restaurants is about 10 minutes drive and nearby the canoeing and walks done by the river are the most stunning scenery. The dogs loved to cool down in the river whilst we ventured down a 10k stretch in canoes. We loved it so much we would even come back - which we rarely do as there are just so many places to visit in the world but we saw only a tiny part of what is possibly one of the most beautiful parts of France. Could not recommend more highly! Natalie our host was lovely, met us to welcome us and left us some rose wine as a gift - lovely! She also helped with recommendations for restaurants and finding a good vet (new rules for travelling is the dogs, check in advance and sort before you leave). Five star place I almost don’t want anyone else to know about it

A very nice week spent in Ethel's cottage. The location is peaceful, and communication with Ethel is very fluid. We would highly recommend it!

Even nicer than in the photos. The perfect cottage for friends and families. Super outdoor area. Perfect water temperature had the pool. It's a quarter hour drive to the nearest supermarket/bakery. The beds are okay. The children's playground was fabulous. You can easily linger completely in the house.

The place is quiet and peaceful. Close to animals and nice walks. Unfortunately the weather was very bad and we couldn't enjoy it. The house is more suitable for a summer stay given the wood heating. Carina was considerate and attentive. We'll be back in a milder season.

Pierre-Yves' place was just great. We enjoyed the amenities and the quiet location with the great pool for 2 weeks. Pierre-Yves was a friendly and helpful host. We will be happy to come back. Thank you.

Gaelle sent all the information needed to find the accommodation (yet not obvious in the middle of the night!), waking up, superb view of the orchard! The studio is pleasant, clean and functional. Very good communication and good accommodation, I would highly recommend Gaelle's studio.

We enjoyed our stay at Olivier's place. The place met our expectations (for two couples with children) and the setting was very nice. We did not do any activities in the area, but the amenities of the accommodation were more than enough to really decompress for a weekend. Olivier was very accommodating. We would recommend this listing!

We booked Benoit's house for Christmas. The very well-equipped kitchen allowed us to cook at our leisure and the large veranda to host the whole family for New Year's Eve. The bedding in the house is very comfortable and the overall layout is lovely. The house is very well soundproofed (between rooms and with the outside). As a bonus, Benoît had prepared a Christmas tree with fairy lights. We highly recommend this listing for a stay in the area. The village of Saint-Vincent-de-Barrès is also very cute for a walk. We'll be back!

Very quiet location in a quiet environment. With a beautiful view! The pictures don't promise too much. Les Vans is super easy to reach on foot and in the evening there are opportunities to eat in the old town or even go for a drink. Would still be great if the next biggest city wasn't almost 2 hours away
