Exquisitely Restored 18th Century Tower House

Welcome to Fameliti Casa Torre! Enjoy your stay in our fully restored family tower house built back in 1790 which can comfortably host up to 10 guests. Tower houses are the emblems of Mani. Stone strongholds that thrust from the rocky land as if to strike the sky itself. Their height was directly related to their defensive ability, but also to the rank and social position of the family to which they belonged. Their construction drew inspiration from Byzantine fortification architecture.

Traditional Tower in Mani

The Traditional Tower is located in Flomochori village,13 km from Areopoli and just 5 min. by car from the beach.The 1st bedroom has 3 single beds, tv, a/c. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed ,tv, a/c and fridge. All the bedrooms have private bathroom and unique view. The living room has traditional wooden ceiling, fully equipped kitchen, dining table, sofa bed, tv, home cinema, traditional fireplace and w/c. Breathtaking view of the bay and the village with the traditional towers.

Just 1.5 km from the center, Torre Gigliano was built in the 12th century at the foot of the Murge plateau, surrounded by an expanse of olive trees in the countryside of Ruvo di Puglia, a town rich in history. Used as a watchtower and astronomical observatory, the residence is enriched by a one-of-a-kind and extraordinarily beautiful stone spiral staircase. The fruits of a small organic vegetable garden and orchard are available to guests depending on the current season.

The Torre di Conca is an enchanting apartment built from an ancient guard tower whose construction dates back to the mid 1500s. It is the only tower on the coast that preserves the elegant crown of blackbirds at its top. The unique environment with a very high barrel ceiling, and a high arched window. A very nice mini-house was born on two floors, on the ground floor a mini living room and kitchen + a bathroom, while on the upper floor a double bedroom overlooking the beautiful garden of the farmhouse. The tower is located in the center of the Masseria garden, a historic and rare Pugliese tobacco shop from the 1940s. Unforgettable and totally refreshing vacation!
