Set in the Port Sunlight Heritage Village, 71 Greendale is only minutes from the Train Station, the Bridge Inn and Lady Lever Art Gallery. Liverpool is only 18 minutes on the train and Chester 25 mins. There's countless museums in the village and plenty to do in the surrounding area.
“James was very welcoming and you will not regret staying here. His home is beautiful, a great blend of past history and modern touches. The house was spotless and welcoming. I only stopped one night as I was attending a party at the Lever Club, but would definalty book for longer if I was in the area. Port Sunlight is a beautiful Village and it was great to stay in one of the houses that Lord Lever build for his workers. interesting place to visit, from the lady lever art gallery to the garden center. Literally a 2 minute walk from the train station and parking outside on the road.”
'Cottage by the Fountain' is a cosy, grade 2 listed workers’ cottage in this historic model village. It is situated in the cultural heart of Port Sunlight which includes the Lady Lever Art Gallery, the Museum and the iconic fountain viewed from the cottage windows. The cottage is great for short stays, holidays or business. It is the perfect base to enjoy the beauty and history of our Village, for exploring the Wirral, Liverpool, Chester, North Wales or visiting the kids at Uni.
“Jill's place was just perfect. It's super cozy quaint, and charming. The place is much nicer in person than in the pictures. It was spotless, spacious and comfortable. We stayed here for two nights, as we had a wedding to attend at the Thornton Manor, which was a quick 12 minutes drive away. Jill was kind enough to leave us with milk, eggs, yogurt, fruits, jam, bread, croissants etc. This was unexpected but very helpful during our busy mornings. The bed was super comfortable, so we were well rested during the trip. The fireplace in the living room made for a cozy evening in, playing some of the board games she had in house. Jill was so warm and kind. She made check in super easy and allowed us to check in early in the morning. She was nice enough to stop by at the end of our trip to say goodbye. We are in Dublin right now writing this review and have already said to ourselves a few times that in hindsight, we should have just extended our stay at Jill's cottage to relax and take in the beautiful Brisitsh countryside. Dont hesitate to book this place, it's a true gem!”
Welcome to my cosy home that is the perfect base for exploring. The location is convenient for the trains to Liverpool and Chester, with Bebington Station being at the end of the road. The historic village of Port Sunlight is a stones throw from here. This is a great place for anyone travelling to the area for meetings or work at Unilever.
“Although we only met with Katie at the time of receiving us, she seemed a very kind and attentive hostess. It was easy to communicate with her at all times. I had everything ready when we arrived. The house was perfectly clean and tidy. It allows you to freely use the kitchen. The bed is very comfortable and the room has a wardrobe and chest of drawers for you to leave your things. The area is quiet and the train is only 5 minutes walk. From there it takes only 20-25 minutes to get to the center. The only thing we missed was a coffee maker and a large mirror in the bathroom. A highly recommended accommodation.”
