Vacation rentals with a patio in Bijagua de Upala

Everything we needed for a quick getaway and visiting local attractions like Tenorio National Park. The apartment was quiet, clean and peaceful with beautiful landscape and surroundings. Carol was very responsive, helpful and made us feel at home. We would definitely return to stay here again. Highly recommended.

Awesome spot in Monteverde. There’s two bedrooms with three beds, and two bathrooms. The place is laid out well with a nice dining area, open kitchen with everything you need to cook, and plenty of space. The kitchenware is high quality and easy to use. Parking is off-street in the family garage. The family took care to make everything warm and welcoming upon arrival. Stacy’s family, Juan Carlos and Giselle met us and took care of everything. Juan Carlos mentioned he is a local guide and we took him up on a night tour. It was fantastic! We highly recommend this Airbnb and, if you’re looking for a local guide, consider going with Juan Carlos if he has availability!

I loved this place! The place was amazing. The heated jacuzzi was very relaxing and beautiful. Pablo was very responsive, communicative, and nice. Highly recommend!

This place is perfect walking distance for all La Fortuna experiences and restaurants. A/C worked well which was much needed. Only side note is you will hear hosts cats fight every night but there is a winner fast so not a big deal :P

Place was exactly as described and felt even more spacious than in the pictures. Modern and spotless. Jacuzzi tub was a plus after a long day of hiking. Convenient if you have a car and want something a bit more remote but still 5-10 minutes from all the shops and restaurants.

The place was even better than we thought because the soda next-door was so good and we were even surprised by the little garden in the back and the animals plus a great view of the volcano. Most of the place feels bigger than we thought.

We loved staying at this place! It was comfortable, clean, & communication with Danilo was prompt & easy! The location is was in the middle of where you may want to experience in Monteverde/Saint Elena & are about 10-20 minutes in either direction of this location! I would definitely stay here again! A great option for the weekend! The house is very nice and cozy. It's very well distributed, which makes each stay very comfortable. We found the house very clean and organized and there was absolutely nothing missing. Clothes, plates, cutlery, toilet paper, good internet… What the description of the house says, it complies fully. Access was easy and very safe. The balcony with bench and table in front of the house has a view towards the wind towers, and is ideal for photos and videos. As we arrived in the middle of a cold front, we realized that the house isolates very well against the cold and the wind that were quite strong on the two nights of stay. Karina left us the house ready and made sure we were at ease. If you need to buy any groceries, the center of Tilarán is close by and has everything at hand. The views in the village are also breathtaking by the proximity of the wind towers. I would definitely come back again if I'm in the area.

Both Gustavo and Vivi were very attentive to my needs. The only bad thing was the wind, which I am told is normal for Monteverde.

Jean’s place is VERY special! We loved our tucked away little home in the hills of Monte Verde. Milton was super friendly and helped us get situated right away at the house. Our favorite part was the on site jungle walk around the property, horses, and the cutest little puppy!! It did get a bit warm in the middle of the day but we had plenty of fans to keep us cool. Electricity is sometimes a little spotty but was never a problem. Milton was very responsive and helpful to anything we needed. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area :)

We all loved our stay! The place is so close to everything! We got to visit cloud forest and local shops. All of Nohelia’s food recommendations were spot on! She was even helping me plan things to do before we got there, which I really appreciated! Place was clean and decorated very cute. We were a small group, but I would love to visit again with more people because there was so much space. Thank you again!

Marvin was so kind and met us to show us around! I also accidentally left something valuable there when we and he immediately went over to find it to keep it safe for me. We could walk anywhere in town which was so nice (especially the ice cream shop). He also gave us great tips on what to do and I used his list to plan our trip.

Very nice house. Clean and family friendly. Kitchen is nice. There are a lot of bugs in the rain forest so keep the windows closed! Coming from Florida USA so bugs are normal, but if you are not use to the tropics then bring bug spray for mosquitos. If you are from CR, like my partner, then you already know to keep doors and windows shut especially at night. AC was nice to have after a long day of being outside. Very close to hot springs. The markets and restaurants are great. Overall this place is really nice for a chill small group of people. This stay made our small family reunion feel comfortable and complete. It was 6 and 1/2 of us (1 baby) but this place is actually bigger than we thought. Very spacious and more than enough bed space. House keeping rules are simple. AC off when you leave the house to save for the environment! I hope who ever reads this has a great time like we did! Thank you John and Tati for your great hospitality.

It's a great place to stay at, however, what we missed was hot water at the kitchen and bathroom sinks. otherwise all good, we'd recommend it.
