Family-friendly vacation rentals in Blackburn with Darwen

We had a wonderful stay here, was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The flat has everything you will need including some snacks and fresh eggs. The hot tub was great! Susan was quick to reply and very helpful and friendly. We didn't have a car but it's easy to walk into the village where there is a lovely pub, fish and chips (cash only) and co-op. Speaking of walking, it is right next to a great trail along a sea wall looking over the salt marshes seeing birds and to my shock Blackpool. We had a great time and will hopefully be back again.

Castle House is lovely. Very quiet and secure in a gated plot. Everything was as described in the listing. Very good place to bring dogs as there is a private and secure patio area. Spa facilities are amazing. The house was very warm with under floor heating and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

A lovely property, home from home and the host was so informative and answered any questions I had. The location was perfect for our needs and very quiet. The welcome hamper was really nice and attention to detail in all areas was very evident with nice touch’s and fragrances made the home feel clean and comfortable. Pool table and games consoles make it a stand out location for all ages to enjoy when in the house. Heating was great though the house as we had some very cold days on our stay. Hot tub and gardens well presented too and not over looked. We collectively as a family have said we will return to this property next year in the warmer months for a longer stay. We went to see Antony Gormley’s Another Place Lynne’s place is less than 5 minutes from the beach where the statues are. Perfect location for us and we were blessed with great weather

What a beautiful Airbnb with a welcoming atmosphere!! From the minute we stepped into the house it felt like a home from home. It was spotless and so cosy with homely touches. We were shown the workings of the hottub on arrival by Ralph which was very helpful and he was also really friendly. The view from the window looked out onto an open field and later on the sunset was beautiful (which we watched from the hottub)! The home is peaceful and a great get away from everyday busy life. The TV has everything you need from sky to Netflix and the couch is snug with blankets. The bed is most definitely a highlight as it was really cosy and comfortable. Overall we couldn't of been happier with our choice to stay at Little Nook and we will certainly be back soon! Thank you so much to Sharon and Ralph.

Spacious, great amenities, close to the Wintergarden and beach. clean and quiet. There are steep steps to get inside and the shoer/tub is high. Not a problem for us but would be if you have mobility issues.

The stay at the farm in the barn house was beautiful. Me and my fiancé took our 3 dogs and it could not have been anymore perfect. The barn was rustic with character and very cosy by the log burner fire. The scenery and views are stunning, especially in the hot tub. The hot tub BBQ area was enclosed which was ideal, we could let our poochies run around whilst we relaxed in the tub. Richard was incredibly welcoming and friendly and very accommodating. He shown us around his farm and we got to meet his cows. We enjoyed it so much that we booked an extra night! 100% worth the money and will definitely be returning in the future. We were a family returning from overseas after many years and needed a place to call home for a few weeks the place is equipped with every amenity that's needed whether it be long-term or short-term nice quiet place in the world with gracious and courteous hosts Can't thank them enough, shane & family

Jade was a very helpful host. The area is traditional for the area, lovely nature reserve on back of rear garden for walks. The cottage is just lovely. Warm and cosy. We will definitely return here.

Lovely wee cottage right next to the pub (and another two within a few hundred metres!) Very peaceful and comfortable - exactly the base we needed for the weekend.

Had a lovely New Years holiday with family (and dogs) and it did feel like a holiday. Hosts were very attentive (with hot tub, and asking about wi-fi) yet I think made sure to let us feel comfortable and give us our privacy. A 15 minute walk to shop, or 2 minute drive - we also visited Blackpool (30 minute drive). Clean beds, lovely living room and can't fault value for money, and would recommend. Thanks for having us!!

Lovely accommodation. Spacious lounge and master bedroom. Great to have 2 bathrooms. Very well equipped. Welcome pack was a kind gesture. Host answered messages promptly.Will definitely use again in the future.

Beautiful lodge in wonderful location. Quiet and peaceful with friendly neighbours should you need them. The park is so well designed with great roads and amenities including a well regarded Health Spa and restaurant. The Lodge itself was attractive with every resource you could need. Warm and comfortable, I loved my stay, thank you.

Stayed with a group of friends - was fantastic, the gaming room, the pool, the garden/bbq areas, freshly cut football pitch. Only issue was one of the wifi routers didn’t work, but we worked around it.

Fantastic stay, a lovely spacious static. Stayed for 4 nights during New Year so was very cold and windy outside. Loved being inside, heating was very good. It’s exactly what you would want. Location is great and just 10 minute drive away from anything you may need or want to do. We will be back!!

Lovely, characterful place to stay. Great sense of privacy, surrounded by countryside. Once the log burner gets going it's really cosy and the accommodation is really well thought out. Appreciated John being on hand to answer questions and to be so welcoming and helpful whilst also respecting our privacy. Highly recommended.

Visited Lower Gill Farmhouse as part of my mum's 70th Birthday celebrations. 12 of us ranging in age from 5 to 75! All rooms were a great size, was excellent having 3 en-suite rooms along with a very large main bathroom and a downstairs toilet. The Kitchen was lovely, everything we needed and more - might have been nice to have tea/coffee and a little milk left for when we arrived after a long drive but luckily our tesco delivery arrived early so this wasn't too much of a problem. The living room had 3 good size sofas so we could all relax in front of the log burner. We made full use of the pool, games room, football pitch and tennis courts - a great addition especially for the kids and 4 hours allocation each day was perfect. Our dogs had a ball too - lots of places for them to run and play. Even in January we managed to spend lots of time outside and the little stream at the back of the cottaqe was wonderful. Great response from our host too, even though she was on holiday herself.

Highly recommend a 2 night stay here. There is so was much to do and it was so enjoyable - we had a group of 10 people ranging from 30 to 1 year old and we all had so much fun! From swimming all day to playing on the football pitch and tennis court - it was truly never ending fun especially for the kids. The cottage was lovely, very nice and clean and everything needed was already there. It is abit far from local shops so definitely something to keep in mind but other than that it was a great stay. Host is very helpful!

A beautiful cottage in an amazing area. we walked most days and did bot require the car all that much. we walkedto 4 local villages...visiting The Ablingdon Arms at Beckley on a few occasions. Our doggo was super happy in the cottage as were we! Cosy nights watching TV in the living room to big breakfasts around the dining table...and yhe odd midday nap. There has been alot of thought put into this place by the owners and it shows!
