Vacation rentals with a firepit in Bloemendaal

This is our third time staying at Tine’s cottage over the past nearly ten years. It feels like a home away from home. We love Tine and she treats everyone like family. In case you don’t know already, this cottage sits on a quiet street, with its own private parking, entrance, and privacy. It is a very short walk into the backside of Zaanse Schans by the Windmills. You can borrow one of Tine’s many bicycles or simply walk the flat peaceful lanes into the open air park and experience clogs making, cheesemaking, stroopwafels, historic homes and neighborhoods well preserved, shops and gifts, a museum, and the most beautiful intact and functioning windmills you’ll find anywhere in the area - plus much more. It’s only 7-8 minutes to the Zaanse Schans train station and a straight shot in 15 minutes on the train to Centraal Station. Also very easy to get to Keukenhof via train, car, bus, etc. Grocery stores and restaurants close by. Our favorite spot out of all we’ve stayed at in Holland!

This is a fantastic place to stay especially if you want to cycle or walk the bulb fields in the spring, which is what we wanted to do and they are right on your doorstep here. There is an amazing beach just a short drive/cycle away, and Haarlem and Leiden are both lovely cities and an easy bike ride. The house was spotless and really spacious, it is just as the photos show. I particularly liked the private courtyard, with its own access at the back which also had a shed perfect to store the bikes safely.

We had a lovely family vacation in Wyik aan Zee. Beautiful beach for walking. A trip to Haarlem and Amsterdam were also on the program. Highly recommended. All in all, we will be happy to come back.

We had a great holiday in this house. The house is great in terms of amenities,look and garden and suitable for two families. The surroundings are beautiful and for active people who also want to walk or cycle. Clear recommendation 🙌🏻

The place was quiet. The cottage was very clean and nicely furnished. So you felt right at home. Victor and his wife were very kind and always responsive. The accommodation is fully recommended. There are many beautiful things to explore not far, such as the center of Edam or the promenade of Volendam. Be sure to go to Amsterdam with the bus. Super easy and you can get to the city center very quickly.

We enjoyed the stay 100%! Serge is the perfect host, accommodating, but always reserved, polite, friendly, helpful - we were just fulfilled every wish and nothing was missing in this luxurious, absolutely thoughtful place. High-quality appliances in the top equipped kitchen (salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, baking paper, aluminum& plastic wrap, etc.), cozy sofa & toilet, nice bathroom, it was nice and warm (in cool April). We were able to wash our laundry and also let it dry in the dryer. In front of the windows were screens, good blackout curtains in the bedroom and nice screen during the day. You can park right in front of the property in a large parking lot, the car is always in view from the living room & kitchen. We will be back! We had a great three night stay at Sylvia’s & Eric’s, easy walk to metro line to get into Delft, Rotterdam or The Hague. Grocery store a few blocks w/ATM so got some Euros using our MC Debit Card. Kitchen had microwave, oven and two burner hotplate. Bed was comfy, we are two bigger guys and had no problem with space. Shower was great, plenty of hot water & pressure & towels. Could use a new pan or two but Sylvia let us borrow one. W&D used for three loads (10 euros), was in their home so had limits in terms of use, but generous w/availability. Drip coffee maker & small French press, offered free coffee which was nice. No paper products like napkins / paper towels, and needs more than just salad forks to use. Body wash & shamp yes, needs conditioner as well. Patio area nice, table & chairs in their back garden area, free parking on site, nice n’hood. Cold floor, (slab) apt below home w/ good lighting. Wash cloths, foil needed. Overall very pleased highly recommend, nice & quiet

Gorgeous! To see out the window stretching green, domestic and wild animals, from a welcoming house...it's incredible. Everything close to what matters, Amsterdam, The Hague, tulip fields, Keukenhof. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at Marc and Joke's. The house is located on the river, there is a nice seat outside and everything is nicely bright, quiet and friendly. The two are very friendly and very helpful. We were there by bike and in Rotterdam it is quite wonderful to ride.

Marietta's house is located in the beautiful town of Muiderberg, from where we are completely uncomplicated to Amsterdam for three days. The house is very well maintained, surrounded by old trees and many detached villas. The apartment furnished, there were small welcome gifts such as chocolates, cheese and wine. Thank you for this. After sightseeing in the city, we ended the evening in Muiderberg on the beach. Have a great stay.

The apartment is small but nice has everything you need. Thildy and her husband are super friendly and helpful. We ordered breakfast the first day and it was delicious and sumptuous. Especially our little one was thrilled with all the great toys, the trampoline and the hammocks in the garden. The surrounding area is great for bike rides or trips to the beach and dunes. Washing machine and towels cost extra, which we are not used to from AirBnB. But all toys are free and Thyldi helped us on a private issue, which was very kind. We had a really nice and relaxing time there!

Place was great for our family, clean, tidy and kitchen has everything we need for. Keukenhof is 10 minutes drive, Amsterdam short train ride away. There is parking front of the building. Beds are comfortable no complains. bathroom was spotless clean. Highly recommended Mark's place. He was so helpful and answers every message so prompt as well. Thank you Mark.

Great place, very close to the city, museums etc yet very private and in deep nature . We really enjoyed our time and would recommend the place for everyone seeking privacy, calmness, nature and a bit of adventure.

Lovely cabin in a beautiful location. The house was clean, tidy and comfortable with everything provided that we could need to cater for ourselves. Bathroom was well stocked and the shower was hot with good pressure. Nice private garden with fire pit was great for toasting marshmallows. Neighbourhood was really quiet and peaceful, extremely green (it feels like you are in the woods) but close to plenty of amenities. Has a very family friendly vibe. Short walk to the shops/supermarket etc. and even closer to the woods/lakes etc. Lots of good outdoor routes to explore. Adva was great with some walking recommendations. 20-30 mins drive to Utrecht and Amsterdam so easy to dip in for a restaurant etc. although there are some good local restaurants which Adva can also fill you in on. Adva in general was a brilliant host, responsive, helpful and thoughtful. Kid loved it, dog loved it, adults loved it, would highly recommend!

Great house in quiet surroundings with very likeable hosts. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the surroundings. We will be happy to stay here again if we visit North Holland.

We had the most wonderful stay in this charming cabin nestled on the property of a windmill in Alkmaar. From the moment we arrived, our hosts Kelly and Han made us feel completely at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect—so kind, welcoming, and full of great local tips. The cabin itself is a dream—coziness taken to the next level. Every detail was thoughtfully put together, and it was the perfect place to unwind to relax. Waking up next to a windmill felt like something out of a fairytale. Alkmaar itself is a beautiful village full of history, with adorable shops and restaurants to explore. The charming canals add to the magical atmosphere, and it’s easy to hop on a train to Amsterdam for a day trip. We’re already dreaming of our return and feel so lucky to have made such lovely new friends in Kelly and Han. Highly recommend this magical spot to anyone visiting The Netherlands!

We absolutely loved our stay, the air bnb itself is lovely with a lovely garden for our little dog. We came for tulip season so it was a great base to see the tulips, cycle round Kinderdijk, visit Gouda, and go for walks on the beach. The apartment has everything you need and the hosts and their dog are lovely and very responsive

Loved staying at Danielle’s cabin. She’s a great host and goes above and beyond to make your stay worth it. Beautiful walks all around and a beautiful little town in its self. Would highly recommend for a solo or couple get away and I would definitely stay here again! 5* All around!
