Monthly Rentals in Buckland in the Moor

We had a wonderful stay at Pine Lodge. The place was so peaceful and is nestled in gorgeous scenery, with amazing views from the living room window and verandah. The pictures on the listing don’t do it justice! It’s a cosy and characterful home - we came in the spring which can be cool and wet, but we were nice and warm indoors here. There are some beautiful walks right on the doorstep and we really enjoyed exploring the landscape. This would be the perfect place to take yourself off to if you wanted to sit and write uninterrupted with inspiring views and nature all around! Clare is a friendly and helpful host and we received a warm welcome, with a cream tea waiting for us on arrival. We don’t drive but had no problem getting a taxi from the station at Newton Abbot at the start and end of our stay.

An absolutely idyllic location, you could walk straight out onto the beautiful moors and were close to a quaint village. The cottage was full of charm and had everything we needed, we enjoyed the evenings by the open fire and the comfortable bed. Stephen and Fiona were great hosts, making us feel very welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed during our stay. They gave a great recommendation for a local pub (the rugglestone) too! We loved our first trip to Dartmoor and would highly recommend Yoneer Shippon to anyone looking for a place to stay in the heart of the national park.

Our second stay, lovely apartment in a quiet location at the rear of restored former school, with parking space (very valuable in Ashburton).

We had a lovely relaxing stay and wished we could have stayed longer. The cottage is in a very peaceful location with beautiful views. Thank you for the nice touches to make us feel so welcome- we especially enjoyed the raspberry jam. We hope to come back again soon 😊
