Lake house vacation rentals in California

I love staying here. This is our third year up for an annual bass tournament and it’s perfect. Clean, great deck that I love! Boat right there on the dock ready to go for fishing. Short boat trip to the casino for blast off. I stay behind and sunbathe on the deck and enjoy the canal. Easy and caring hosts. I have no complaints and will continue to come back as long as I can. I have family in the area, but would much rather stay here for as long as I can. Love it! So peaceful.

Beautiful location on the lake just like described in the pictures. Serene and beautiful. The perfect getaway. Only thing to know is there were no toiletries provided like shampoo etc so be sure to bring those along. We truly enjoyed the hot tub by the lake and the fire place with the views.

The home is updated and beautiful, the deck and porch are gorgeous. Jeff and Gina were extremely responsive , helpful and kind.

Right on the water but unlike other places on Clearlake the roads are good, easy to navigate and plenty of parking. Beautiful view of the canal. Step out the door and go kayaking. During migration the birds are amazing! Saw an otter once. 3 sweet stray cats love Danielle's house. Place comes equipped with cat food for any guests inclined to lend a helping hand to the kitties. Danielle is a great host. So nice. So accommodating.

Very nice area and house right on the lake. Our Grandson and daughter enjoyed the paddle boat and we had fun fishing. We didn’t catch anything and weren’t sure if there were any fish until a guy in a boat was catching fish by our dock. I’m sure as usual we weren’t using the right bait or lure. 12 year old grandson enjoyed playing basketball at the park nearby but the 7 year old was disappointed the play structure at the park was under construction. But there were other play structures nearby we could drive to.

This place is amazing and such a nice retreat not too far north of the bay area. Often you find an Airbnb that isn’t fully equipped for cooking, bathing, living, etc. but this house is truly “turn key” and has everything you need. Add the grill and backyard space along the lake, and the arcade games, and it makes for a wonderful stay. We would love to stay again and again in the future whenever we need a quick break from the city.

This is a beautiful home located right on the water. The place was clean and the outside deck was a plus! The fridge made a loud buzzing noise during our stay but otherwise everything was perfect. 10/10 -- I'd recommend!

We stayed on a work trip and the place felt like home. This place is a must-visit for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities like fishing and hiking. Highly recommended

Cozy and affordable place, great location. Alyssa was helpful and accommodating, proving us great sledding recommendations, feedback and advice. Great spot for kids - nice without being fussy. They loved the kids ‘nook’ in the bunk room with old school video games and the loads of games downstairs. Kitchen is tight for multiple people but we made it work.

Bill was an extremely nice person and host. He was very responsive, proactive at communicating, and even met us in person upon check-in (late at night too). His place was very home-like and fits the description. Parking was very easy as well! Thank you Bill, we’ll be back!

The rock theme of the house was really cool. The landscaping of the house and the views were amazing. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a great view of the lake from the shower, very aesthetic. Clear and easy instructions for check in and check out. I love the huge DVD collection, lots of classics. And of course, the lake was so pretty and we had a blast kayaking. Overall beautiful location and we had a great stay!

We stayed with friends and our little ones! Great space to be together and know your kids are having a great time. Plenty of things to do in the area and Alan communicated so well, we knew we were in good care!

We loved staying at Vasily’s place. It was clean, very spacious, felt like home and the best part was that we could bring our dog. He loved the huge fenced area, our girls loved the bunk beds and the hubby and I loved the spa. We’ll definitely be back!

From start to finish, our stay was very relaxing and easy-going.Such a cozy home with plenty of amenities and space. Our personal favorite was the kitchen and dining area. Coming from a huge family who loves to eat and cook. The fridge was perfect and their pantry had plenty of storage. We were so happy to see all the available kitchen tools and pans. The rooms were so fun especially with an apartment attachment to the main house (only if there are 11+guests). It had such a cute set up. Plenty of bathrooms. Amazing views! Lots of places for picture taking on the patios that faced the gorgeous clear lake. Heater system is modern and just takes a while to get to temp but it is a huge house. Main guest room is romantic with a king size bed and same floor as garage. Super beneficial for easy access into the house. Wash and dryer available. Blessed to have had many memories here. You won't regret it especially for a great price. Mark is a super great host.

We had such a great stay here with family and friends over the weekend! The cabin was beautiful, in a great location, and the host was super friendly and responsive. One thing that really stood out was how well-stocked everything was, which isn’t something we’ve typically seen at other Airbnbs. The kitchen had everything we needed, from pots and pans to coffee machines, spices, and seasonings, which was perfect since we did a lot of cooking. Just a heads-up if you’re a coffee person: they provide the machines but not the coffee, so be sure to bring your own! The place was also dog-friendly, which was a huge plus. We loved that there were tons of games, activities, and even outdoor gear to keep everyone entertained. You can tell the host really cares about the guest experience, and we’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Very spacious house, conveniently located close to Lake Blvd, providing a short drive to Kings Beach, Northstar, Tahoe City, and the Alpine and Palisades resorts. The house is quite spacious, with plenty of sitting space, a good kitchen and dining room space. There is room for 4 cars in the driveway, plus one or two in the garage (depending on your parking skills ;-), which is nice. My friends and I are already thinking of trying to rent this lodge again next year (although this review may make it more difficult...). We had a small issue with the hot tub -- it was perfectly usable (it is really big too), but the jets did not function correctly every time. This has been reported and given Madelyn's responsiveness, I am confident that this will be solved.

Cory and his wife were fantastic hosts. We rented the cabin for my birthday weekend and even celebrated Easter there. It was lovely to relax in the living room, gazing out at the breathtaking lake view—it’s absolutely stunning! The kids had a blast jumping into the lake by the dock, and we thoroughly enjoyed the spacious area for our Easter scavenger hunt for the teenage boys. Jane even sent me a flyer for a local egg hunt, but unfortunately, I missed it. Regardless, my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you both so much. 🫶🏻

We enjoyed the stay—it was spotless and very peaceful! The checkout process was very thorough. Just make sure you read the instructions thoroughly, that way you won't get charged! Overall, it was a great stay!

Great space in Discovery Bay. Brent was easy to communicate with and the kids loved the skiball machine. The living area is nice and open for several families to hang out together.

Great place to stay with the family. There’s video games, a pool table, kayaks, a giant dog bed, a tv in every room, and space for everyone. The dock parking was great for my husband’s boat, and the lakeside deck was beautiful to watch birds, see fish, and enjoy the weather. The first night we stayed was super windy and rainy, but the house remained quiet and warm inside. Clearlake oaks is a small town but the few restaurants and winery we were recommended were good. Definitely a place great for boating and water activity in the good weather. Elsa was also super responsive and friendly!

Lovely home, able to visit with family and friends in a very nice location. Our host was very hands on and prompt with requests and needs. Will rent again when family in town.

Our stay was amazing! The home is even more beautiful than the photos. There was so much space inside and outside. Had a multitude of supplies and overall was very comfortable! Perfect place for family, friends, and furry friends! The hosts were also so kind and responsive. Will definitely be coming back!

I’ve been going to Bass lake for over twenty years and this cabin has been my favorite so far. It’s close to my favorite hiking trail, fishing spots and plenty small town grocers and entertainment. Lots of thoughtful amenities and plenty of room for friends and family. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Thank you Mark! We’ll be back for sure!

My family went to Lake Wildwood to visit some family and luckily found Iris' house. Her place was ideal! Comfortable and close to a park on the lake, with a wonderful deck to sit on and share about old times as the sun set behind the oaks. And Iris was as available and helpful as you could hope for. We will return for sure.
