This house, named "Casa a S. Rocco", has the best mountain view of all the hilltop village. It was once the biggest house in Vallico Sopra, looking down onto peaceful woods, with gorgeous suntrap of a terrace complete with church belltower. The apartment retains most original features, boasting chestnut wood beams and beautiful floors throughout. The living room has a large fireplace, the kitchen has been restored in a traditional/country style, and the master bedroom has a canopy bed.

The house is set within olive groves, fruit trees, and forests, with stunning views all around. 'The Arches' is a beautiful, traditional Garfagnana home. The building is around 500 years old, and is thought to be at the very heart of the original Cardoso, with the village growing around this centre over the next few centuries. Recently restored, the house has many original features, including wooden beams, terracotta tiles and its two distinctive arches. Quality features complement this history in the form of two modern bathrooms, central heating and a contemporary kitchen.
