Vacation rentals with breakfast in Cambres

This was a dream vacation - we had just moved to Portugal and spent 2 weeks getting setup. We wanted a quiet week as a family to rest before school started. This place was perfect: perched on a mountainside in the middle of vines, the space was quiet, peaceful and beautifully designed and appointed. Paulo, the husband, is an architect who refurbishes vintage designer furniture. Teyna, the wife, is an amazing chef. Her breakfasts (included) we delicious and the dinners they offer in their adjoining restaurant and well crafted and tasty. Their place is pet friendly - we brought our dog, and they have a dog, two cats and two birds. We did outings to Porto, nearby Roman ruins, historic villages and swam in the rivers running through them. It was delightful.

Thanks for hosting our family gathering! We loved the home and the locale- right in the heart of the historic Douro region. We were referred to an excellent guide for a full day dry wine and port vineyards’ experiences.

It is a family house, very well maintained and recovered. The house has all the conveniences and a few more. The Host ensured an excellent communication and the lady who received us (Mrs. Silvina) overflows sympathy. We were still entitled to some miminhos, which were cherry on cake. Thank you very much for everything! for everything rural

We were a group of 9 guests. Check-in and check-out were very comfortable. The house has plenty of amenities and indoor and outdoor pool. Having breakfast every morning has been great. It was also very varied and very rich. A highly recommended house for large groups.

We stayed for four nights with our two toddlers and loved every minute of it. The view was amazing and Pedro and Monica were so lovely. Felt just like having kind helpful neighbours! We would suggest this place for anyone who wants an amazing view and a calm location. We also ate out at a local restaurant suggested my the hosts which was also amazing. A very small local European town vibe.

I loved staying in Vila Coura, I would definitely stay again. Célia was charming, very helpful. We were able to check in at the appropriate time, explained everything to us about the space, the breakfasts, etc., it was super available to meet any of our requests anytime. The room was very comfortable, clean and cute. We had firewood to light the fireplace and we had a super pleasant atmosphere. The water is very hot too and the bed is super comfortable. I highly recommend!

Cesars place is a great find! The little house is very well thought through, with very modern touches to an eco home. The balcony area has an amazing view with the river running right below. The location is great, being only 5 minutes drive to the centre of guimaraes but also being in a more rural area with nice forested views. Cesar is a wonderful host and provided a delicious organic breakfast - including yogurts, granola, eggs, bread and fruit. Very recommended.

You'll get more than you see. Very quiet and in beautiful area. The host is humble and tidy. Excellent. At least 6 stars.

The Apartment is in an unbeatable area, it is very careful and with every detail. Clean and cared for. You are close to everything, you can't hear any noise from the street. Let's repeat

Excellent local otima view, sunset from the studio is excellent, taking to the surroundings with many walkers, which settle in the stairs of the parking lot ahead, leaving the parking place with dubious security and smelly. the Oh! Porto is very well located close to the main tourist points of the Porto region!

This was a perfect location to enjoy Porto. Right on the river with a view of the bridge. The apartment was wonderful, clean, well appointed and decorated. We would stay here again!

Clean, roomy and comfortable apartment. Great patio. Very good communication. Paula was at the apartment on our arrival to introduce the apartment. A nice port and cookies were provided gratis, which was appreciated. Breakfast provided every morning was tasty and convenient. Highly recommend.

alex's house is particularly nice, the set up is beautiful, and there are snacks, also to help us keep our luggage

Jean and Luz are the perfect airbnb hosts. The communication was prompt, they met us when checking in and gave us a house tour and instructions. The house itself was tastefully decorated. The location is perfect, 5 mins walkable to city center with lots of restaurants around. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay and would definitely recommend their place to anyone who is looking for a stay in Porto!

Amazing and perfect getaway from the city to the peaceful countryside. This house was all what we wanted! Juan was very communicative and Graça who met us there made us feel immediately at home. Her breakfasts were amazing and beautiful organised. Definitely recommend. We will come back in the summer as well.

Quinta da Xandica, located just outside of Valença do Douro village, was a fantastic, and unique experience. It’s rare these days to find an Airbnb hosted by a “real” (boots on the ground) host who is not only there to share local knowledge and accommodates your needs, but literally who also welcomes you in to the ACTUAL family home. It reminded me of a traditional bed and breakfast, in all of the best ways. (Including a lovely breakfast in a dining room!!!) The Quinta was home to Matilde”s great grandfather, and is shared today with her grandmother and father (three generations). It’s a working farm, and an all around charming, beautiful place. Even during our unseasonably rainy visit, the grounds and area was stunning. Practically speaking, the bed was comfortable & the water hot. Dinner made by Matilde was a reasonably priced and delicious with estate wine. We also thoroughly interaction with other guests, the chipped dog, “Bill”, and access to the surrounding area. A treasure!

Wonderful house! We felt right at home, hosts made us breakfast every day, and gave us excellent recommendations for local food and activities. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Tondela and looking for a peaceful, relaxing place to stay.

Our stay at Quinta Dos Carqueijais was a perfect 10/10! We chose the Villa das Oliveiras, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surroundings. It truly feels like you're immersed in the forest with beautiful views of the lake. The entire property is seamlessly integrated with nature, creating an idyllic setting for complete disconnection. The accommodation itself is stunning, perfectly equipped, and incredibly comfortable—far better than what you might expect from the photos. The breakfast is plentiful, with great attention to detail. Additionally, we had the chance to enjoy the spa facilities, which include a jacuzzi, sauna, massages, and a heated indoor pool, all at a very competitive rate. Quinta Dos Carqueijais is the perfect place to unwind for a weekend getaway or to celebrate a special occasion near the Peneda-Gerês National Park

There are very few places that can live up to the moniker of a truly special location. It take a rare blend of a thoughtful beautiful space, impeccable service, and genuine/ super friendly hosts. My only regret about writing this review is that I am sure once people discover this gem I will find it very difficult to find an available opening again as it is sure to be in high demand. Enrico and his entire family are the perfect hosts, the included simple breakfast of fresh bread, yogurt, fruit and assorted cheese is such a nice treat to wake up to every morning and partake in their amazing Dining Room. I can't recommend highly enough trying their tasting dinner in the evening, as Enrico apparently is a 1 start rated Michelin Chef and the food is amazing. Even if you don't book a room to stay in you should go to the restaurant one evening if you are in Porto. My room was spotless, very comfortable and beautifully laid out. Super Comfortable Bed as well. This place is special.

Lugar da Pedra Altra is a very special place, the host were very helpful and we had a very memorable holiday. We stayed there as a group of eight, two families and we had enough space, and the breakfast that they supplied was very enjoyable. We would look to visit again in the future
