Cottage vacation rentals in Carentan

Had a wonderful stay with my husband and little girl. 10min drive to the beach, and lots more beautiful beaches close by. The cottage is very nice, espcially the kitchen area where we spent most of our time when indoors. Lovely patio for eating outside and hot tub and lots of games to play in the garden which was fun as we had good weather. My little girl loved seeing the sheep and chickens. We found many little towns and things to do for day trips. Would recommend - and Sonia was so friendly and helpful!

Very warm welcome from Michel and his wife for us and our dog. Very nice and clean small house, in a quiet hamlet with individual entrance, and a private hot tub,with an enclosed courtyard for our shepherd. In fact, their dog is very sociable. Thank you for the attention of the bowl for the water and brioche. It's also very close to all the tours we wanted to do. No problem to recommend.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is very comfortable and very well-equipped. The trampoline, games, books, and comics delighted our daughter. Despite average weather, we were able to enjoy the garden, hot tub and hammam. The house is also located a stone's throw from the lively heart of Saint-Pair sur Mer with all its shops and three steps from the sea. We'll be back with pleasure in this nice house. We had a great weekend at Virginia's place, the kids enjoyed nature, we were able to fish and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, Thanks, we'll be back with pleasure.

Our stay at Mark's was wonderful. The area is very calm and beautiful, Mark was always there to help us out when needed and the place was gorgeous ! There are also lots of things to do around and visit, it's perfect !

A little Norman paradise, made for young and old. Pleasant, clean and well thought out, for a great stay. Jeannette and Brian are charming and discreet hosts but always available and smiling. Our baby feasted at this place with the animals,and the hot tub is ideal for disconnecting for adults. We are in the heart of nature but in 40 min we can visit and see the sea. Our whole little family would recommend this beautiful place!

David’s place was a lovely quaint stone cottage ! Many things original to the 1787 home. It was located close to the landing beaches and war memorials which was the purpose for our trip. The only thing that was a disappointment was the fireplace was not working and so we found the home very cold .

How we enjoyed this stay. Nice spacious rooms and stunning views of the estate. The host and colleagues of the estate are all very kind and helpful. A tour and of course tasting the Calvados, Pommeau, apple cider and apple juice is definitely recommended. The area is really beautiful and historic. Normandy surprised us positively.

Thanks for the stay, thanks for your availability. Super nice accommodation, ideal for relaxing in a quiet place and hiking. Mont St Michel is 1 hour 20 minutes by car. Small touches on arrival were very much appreciated.

The house was beautiful, tastefully decorated, cosy and very rustic. We felt well at home in the property and the surrounding gardens which were completely private. The house is fully equipped with everything you would need for a peaceful break in the country, and there are very thorough instructions left by the owner on how to do everything, this included recommendations for local attractions, services and more! While this property is perfect for a rural escape, you are only 5 minutes drive from Vire and 10 minutes from Sourdeval. We would highly recommended the property and we hope to return the next time we are in the area.

Perfect short stay! Our host Damien is very friendly, responsive and attentive. The cottage is superb tastefully decorated a small fire upon our arrival🥰, there is really everything you need in the cottage. Environment is very pretty with a beautiful landscape, animals nearby... In short, a good weekend in Normandy. Looking forward to returning. Thank you very much 😃

Katie, our dog Jesse and I had a lovely peaceful break at Jeanne's cottage. Jeanne provided lots of helpful info about check-in, which was flexible and the local surrounding area for things to do. The house was warm and really well equipped, with lovely dinner sets and a welcome bottle of her local Pommeau de Normandie, which was delicious. The pantry cupboard is well stocked with all the necessities, so you don't need to buy everything in your first shop. The surrounding area both in Normandy and into Brittany, is really pretty, reminds me a lot of Devon in some ways, with big beautiful sandy beaches and rocky coves. Plus, some of the best seafood we've eaten in ages. If you love oysters, you'll love this area. I would love to come back in the spring/summer to experience it in warmer weather and longer evenings, but it was a perfect break in winter, too.

Fabienne's apartment was absolutely perfect – clean and furnished with a lot of love for detail. Fabienne is an extremely warm and courteous host who was always available for questions or concerns. The location of the accommodation was ideal for exploring the surrounding area and we felt completely comfortable. We would come back anytime and can highly recommend this apartment!

The house is large, very nicely decorated and very quiet with a great, huge garden. We and our dog felt very comfortable there and can absolutely recommend it. Very good communication with Valérie who is very friendly and accommodating.

The holiday was very nice. The house is exactly as described. Everything clean and very nice and modernly furnished. We were received very nicely. There is everything in the house, play for indoors and outdoors. The area is very nice and quiet Had a great vacation!

I really enjoyed my stay at The Vintage Cottage. Margaux is a fabulous host whose responsiveness and attention to detail really add something special. Overall great value. Five Gold Stars. The breakast basket is not to be missed! The surrounding area is beautiful and suitable for touring by car, bike, or on foot. Stunning views abound. There's plenty to visit, and the homes ofCamembert and Calvdos are nearby, so culture and gatronomy also enrich the visit. Highly recommended.

We had a great time at this charming and peaceful little house. Perfectly suitable for a couple with two children, it is well equipped and very pleasant to stay in. The hosting was at the top, warm and attentive. A nice quiet break, we recommend it!

We felt very comfortable with Véronique and Rémy and can only recommend this quiet and cozy apartment. They are very nice and helpful as hosts, the apartment was exceptionally clean and is sensibly equipped. We knew beforehand that it is a bit off the beaten track, but if you want to make excursions to Caen, the coast and the picturesque Suisse Normande, it is wonderfully located. The property is like a small park, beautiful, quiet and extremely well maintained. We would book with Véronique and Rémy again anytime.

The garden is private, peaceful, spacious, beautiful… being by the river was magical and for us instantly relaxing. We are cooks and there was everything we needed to make the best use of local ingredients. The fish stall is next to the baker on Tuesdays… we also enjoy the Monday night concerts in Pont d’Ouilly in the summer months. The walking in the area is excellent. It’s not our first visit to the Suisse Normande and it won’t be the last.
