Beach house vacation rentals in Chatham

what a great quirky place, when you enter into the kitchen/breakfast area it looks compact but upstairs feels a lot bigger. would definitely return if coming back to Southend.

We had a lovely stay at Kate’s place! A great location for a family get together near the beach. There are lovely cafes & deli’s within walking distance in Sandgate. And the location was also great for exploring Folkestone & the local area. A fab spacious home, we would stay again! Thanks Kate as well for helping with the heating & being really responsive with messages, it really made a difference :)

We primarily chose Slip Cottage for its location and private parking, as we know parking in Whitstable can be difficult. The cottage was just minutes from the sea front and surrounded by nice Independent shops and galleries. There were so many places to eat that we only used the very well equipped kitchen to make cups of coffee! The location is down a private lane, not a through road so very quiet. The neighbours were very friendly. Although only a double, the main bed had a really good mattress and was very comfortable. All the furnishings were good quality, with twin beds in the second bedroom. With two full bathrooms there was a choice of shower or bath, plus a downstairs loo as well! Stephen was a great host offering lots of advice about favourite places to eat. He also kindly texted once the cottage was ready so that we could go in earlier than the published arrival time. All in all a great find which we would happily return to.

We had an absolutely wonderful week in this great property- the direct access to the beach is very special - and the house is a real home, furnished for comfortable living rather than rental. Lots of gorgeous walks near by - great golf course up the road, handy EV charging point 2 mins walk away, and Ashford designer shopping outlet 30 mins drive away.

Had an absolutely lovely time. Incredible house for a big bunch of us. Wonderful hosts that made everything easy and enjoyable. Will definitely stay again.

We would definitely recommend this house. Janet was a great host, always responsive, and we really appreciated the early check-in and the provisions in the fridge. The house felt like home straight away and had everything we needed. It was lovely to be right opposite the beach. We really liked Hythe and the surrounding area and will definitely come back.

This was the second time we stayed at Mario's cottage in Hythe and we loved just as much - if not more - than the first time. The cottage is so cozy and the street very quiet, everything is clean and tidy and Mario was in touch every day to make sure we were OK and had everything we needed. It's definitely our favourite spot to stay at when we're down in Hythe. Highly recommend!!

This property was perfect for our visit to the area. A brilliant public football pitch to play with my kids located just across the road with the beach 2 minutes away through the back gate. This was a last minute booking whilst visiting family but will definitely use again to bring the family in the summer! Thank you for letting us use such a great home.

As we walked in my son said ‘wow’ and that was all of our reaction! We have stayed in a caravan on this site before but this was a lodge and it was so much bigger! Great living space, 2 good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a veranda! 40min lovely walk along the beach/promenade into Whistable and great foodie pub just across the road (the Oyster Pearl). We had a great couple of nights here, we wished we had booked longer!

A lovely getaway for my family. The Caravan was beautifully presented and the holiday park had lots for the kids to do. The heated outdoor pool was a bonus. Thank you Jill for a wonderful holiday

Lovely short stay, very close to the beach where we spent a lot of time with the children. Nice park at the site and lots of space to play outside. Caravan was clean and well looked after and the deck area was a nice touch to give added outdoor space and seating. Lots of the owners decor in the van which made it a little stressful with a toddler who wanted to explore everything but no problem for the older children.

We had a lovely stay in this caravan. Had most things you would have at home, dishwasher was a bonus. Beds were comfortable. The only niggle we had was with cleanliness, we found an opened pot of yoghurt on the kitchen side, some dirty cutlery in the draw and there were some crisps next the bed in main bedroom.

A great stay to celebrate Christmas with the family, by the fireplace, around a beautiful tree and nice little gifts as soon as we arrive! Nikitia was very attentive to us and even recommended several Christmas activities in the area...

We all had a wonderful weekend in your lovely caravan. We used the club and the pub lovely food. Loved the tea coffee left for us you really went that extra mile so kind

We had a brilliant stay at Nicola’s house. It is beautifully done and very clean. Easy to find and get in with the lockbox. Amazing location for Whitstable high street and the beach. Would highly recommend!

We have just returned home from a week’s stay at Karen‘s house. It was a home from home with lots of space for our family of five and very clean. Karen was super helpful and responsive, she even went as far as leaving presents out for our children that they loved and food items for our stay. The house is centrally located for shopping, the seafront, park and many other local attractions. If you are thinking of staying here, we highly recommend and would book again. Thank you Karen!

Nancy is an excellent host,and her flat is lovely place to stay. it's exactly as it described in the photos. she is relaxing available to message when we had queries. Her flat is spotless and well designed. Great for work/study stays. The rooms are clean and spacious, bathrooms were clean as well. when we had a small issue, Nancy promptly sorted that out. I am happy to come back and highly recommend. Many thanks for hosting us.

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend staying at The Dunes Lodge. The house was beautiful, lovely decor, and great views overlooking the dunes and easy access to the beach. The house was well equipped we particularly loved the pool table! We were super lucky with the weather and were able to make use of the stunning garden and balcony! Whenever we had a query, responses and communication were always prompt and timely. Hosts were even kind enough to let us check out later on our final day. 100% recommend! Thank you ☺️

What an amazing stay from start to finish. We was wowed as soon as we walked in to how lovely the house was. So spacious and a lovely garden area which is a perfect sun trap when the sun is out. The open plan kitchen/living area made it a great space for us to socialise with our friends and the bedrooms were very well done. A great location- we walked to whitstable and was a pleasant walk and some lovely little places in tankerton high street too which is literally round the corner. We even had an early morning swim and just as the beach was right on the doorstep. We would love to book again and would highly recommend. Debra was also very helpful and checked in over text asking if everything was ok including room temperatures etc. A great host
