Chapel Cottage is a beautiful Grade II listed cottage, which dates back to the 17th century, and is located in the heart of the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water. Known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, due to the River Windrush that flows peacefully though the village, Bourton has an abundance of attractions, including Birdland, the Cotswold Motor Museum, and the Model Village. There are also a wide range of traditional pubs, shops and restaurants, making Bourton perfect for guests of all ages. The village is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, and the many picturesque market towns and villages of the Cotswolds are all within easy reach, as are further afield places, such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford and Bath. This self-contained gem has its own balcony which overlooks a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is south facing, light & airy and has pure cotton sheets, a small well equipped kitchen, and a powerful shower.

The kitchen was well equipped and we were even left with delicious local apple juice, yoghurt, croissants and wild blueberry jam! Kaye’s recommendations for places to go were great - including thistledown farm which has a lovely cafe (amazing cakes and thali!) with beautiful views and woodchester park is a pretty walk. We would not hesitate at all to come back again and recommend to others”
Set in the idyllic village of Hankerton, next to a well known spa offering massage and beauty treatments and beautiful gardens. There is a double bedroom, living room, shower and a kitchenette. Ample Parking. Due to the current situation I would be very prepared to give big reductions for anyone who would like to come and stay, it’s a wonderful place to isolate yourselves, it will be deep cleaned wonderful walks, beautiful garden, tennis court and hairdressers and beauty treatments good WiFi.
What guests are saying:“Sweet little cottage in the countryside. Rowena is a great hostess -- quick to reply to any messages and full of advice and suggestions for things to do. There are good pubs within walking distance. Having a car is definitely a plus if you want to do much exploring in the area beyond the immediate fields, though, we managed without one. While most of our walks were cut short by flooded fields, it was nice to explore the area and great to come back to the cottage to warm up with tea, brownies, and a good foot soak.”
