Galiano Cabin Hideaway

Located on Galiano Island, British Columbia about a 10 minute drive from Sturdies Bay, this island hideaway is a lovely, "open concept" cabin high amongst the treetops. It is perfect for a couple or a couple with a young child that wants to escape from city life and relax in the quiet of the forest. There is one double bed, one sofabed, a dining space, a wood stove for heating along with baseboard heaters, a washer and a dryer, a complete kitchen and full bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. There is parking space in front of the cabin for a maximum of two cars. With large windows, this cabin has a superb view that overlooks the lush Galiano forest and even further with ocean views to the mainland. There are two decks. One covered front deck with deck chairs and a hammock to lounge and look out over Galiano. The rear deck is nicely secluded with a hammock, small bistro table and propane barbecue. It is a 5 minute drive from the nearest beaches, food stores, and shops, and just a 10 minute drive to Montague Harbour Marina Beach and Campsite with moped, kayak, canoe, and boat rentals. There are a number of dining opportunities, cafes, and restaurants close by. This Galiano Cabin Hideaway is unparalleled. It is ideal for a couple seeking relaxation. With this break from the city, you will be snug within the forest and won't feel the need to be anywhere else! There is a 2 night minimum requirement.

A warm welcome awaits

Our charming bedroom has a queen bed, sofa, bistro table and chairs and is close to beach access at Southey Point as in our cover pic.The bathroom has a newly installed shower, washbasin and composting toilet. There is a closet and an outside deck space. Although the space doesn’t have a kitchen, there is a fridge, kettle, coffee maker and toaster for the convenience of our guests and continental breakfast items are provided. We look forward to welcoming guests to this idyllic part of the world.

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan.
