“We had a wonderful stay; the place was cosy, homely and very peaceful. Finding the place was very easy with the directions that we had been given and we were greeted with a very warm welcome (especially from their dog!) It was a little rainy whilst we were staying there but we had a great time visiting the waterfall and surrounding areas none the less. Wes & Jeannie's place was the perfect home to come back to and shield from the rain whilst taking in the view of their wonderful garden (and listening to the cows).”
'Captain's Cabin' is a great base for exploring the incredible North Cornish coastline or relaxing on the decking with a good book and our homemade cream tea! You can walk across the meadows to Tintagel Castle, village pubs & cafes galore! Explore the lane up to National Trust land and the dramatic coastpath where you can head southwest for 3/4 of a mile to Trebarwith Strand or head in the other direction to Bossiney Beach, Rocky Valley & famous Boscastle Harbour.
“We had a brilliant stay at Jon & Maddy's cabin. Before we arrived communication with Francesca was speedy and the directions were great. When we arrived we met Jon who enthusiastically showed us around and gave some brilliant tips about the local area which helped us make the most of our stay. Also there were fantastic touches like freshly made scones and prosecco ready to enjoy 😊. We'd both highly recommend this accomodation to anyone, even though the weather was pretty brutal at night the cabin was well heated + the electric blanket kept us toasty.”
Total isolation away from the rigours of the world at the moment!! with magnificent views over rolling fields out to the Atlantic ocean our cottage offers a chance to explore the wild wonderful coast of North Cornwall at its best!
“The experience of staying at Caroline’s cottage was an excellent and rewarding one. Given this was a holiday during a pandemic we felt safe. Caroline is a lovely lady, very friendly and helpful offering advice and on hand if the need arises. The cottage has a sense of remoteness whilst not actually being remote with a quirky but at home feel. Whilst there is a basic feel to the home on offer the layout is so practical and the available space is spot on. The bedroom is a lovely and effectiveness use of the upper floor. The view from the kitchen window across the fields to the Atlantic is one you could never tire of and the sunsets on two or three nights were fantastic. I just couldn’t not photograph the transition when it was a good one! We’d definitely like to go back one day.”
