Smoking-friendly vacation rentals in Derbyshire

There were 8 in our group which included 2 young children so the 4 bedrooms were perfect. We were having a family weekend at Alton Towers so the location couldn’t have been better. The house had everything we needed and was well equipped and clean. Alton village is charming and worth a wander around.

Another brilliant stay. Accommodation is exactly what was needed. So easy to deal with and a lovely place to stay.

Claire went above and beyond with making sure we had the best break we could have. Excellent communication from the moment we booked, sending us lots of recommendations of things to do and places to eat. The house is faultless. Every little detail has been lovingly thought through. We would recommend this gorgeous property to people that really want a relaxing retreat. Somewhere you can totally relax and unwind. Thank you so much Claire for having us. The thoughtful goodies you left for our arrival were just the nicest thing ever. Thank you! X

we stayed here as a family of 7 with 5 kids in tow. we chose this place due to its location to alton towers and cadbury world. arrival was really easy as I had been sent clear instructions upon booking. on first glance the house was clean. However, my 5 kids with their little hands were finding bits and bobs that had been left from previous guests. from a plastic bottle to some boobie pads (that's what my kids called them) but I just swiftly binned these and it didn't cause any problems. the wifi was a bit hit and miss. The amenities were fantastic!! the garden was lovely to sit in with nice garden furniture. big TV in master bedroom and living room, with everything on. The hot water wasn't coming through one morning, I contacted the host and within 10 minutes someone was round and sorted it. Hosts were very responsive throughout our stay. we loved it here and will look to come back again!!! thank you for letting us stay at your lovely place 😊

Rachael is such a friendly lady and responded very quickly to my text messages. We had a small issue with the firewood we purchased from Rachael however she quickly come back with another bag to purchase and gave us some kindling as an extra to help. Lovely campsite with the canal a minute away. Rachael also provided extra things for everyone in the storage chests which is a lovely added touch - lots of water, toilet rolls, food for the horses, bread for the ducks, even beer! Thank you for your help Rachael!

What a beautiful place to stay! The shepherd’s hut-was immaculately clean, comfortable and well equipped. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the evening with the chimenea lit. Hosts were friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. I hope we can stay again sometime.

Dr Jill's place is just what I needed: safe, clean, comfortable, pretty, and with all the amenities I needed, and good value for the price. Jill really is a super host -- responsive and quick to any questions or needs, and very friendly and helpful without being intrusive in any way. She and her son Marcus really go out of their way to make sure your stay is as great as possible, with real personal care and thoughtful added touches (ie. dog blanket). Her house is located in a peaceful, lovely, walkable residential neighbourhood close to restaurants, launderette and shops, parks and green spaces; it's also close to all the resources of Sheffield. 10/10! Thanks Dr Jill and Marcus for greeting us and getting us settled after a long trip, and hosting us so graciously. We'll be back :) KB

My husband and I had a lovely stay here with our puppy. the campsite was lovely and included everything you would need such as kettle microwave etc, and the dining area is especially helpful too. The area is lovely and there is 2 pubs within a short walking distance both of which are dog friendly and serve great food we particularly enjoyed the gate inn. The area is beautiful and there is lots to see and do we would love to come back again to this site to see some of the places we didn’t get the chance to go, Thankyou Caroline for a lovely break away and for being a welcoming and accommodating host throughout our stay.

Delightful stay at the apartment. It was spotless and comfortable. Svetlana and Tony were very welcoming and very accommodating. Certainly plan to visit again.
