Our lower level (stair access) has been designed and decorated especially for you. It features a living room with gas fireplace, bedroom, and bathroom. Next to St.Olaf college, 1 mile to Carleton and downtown, and steps from the Ole Store Cafe. Our house is surrounded by trees and perennial gardens, and adjoins the St. Olaf athletic fields. Unfortunately, this space is not suitable for young children. Also, the stairs may be difficult for someone with physical limitations.
“Nestled among the Honor Houses of St. Olaf, you can’t get closer to the college unless you stay on campus. A beautifully decorated, cozy home away from home. I believe that they have thought of everything, including extra chargers in case you need them. Even the bathroom has a motion sensor nightlight do you don’t need to turn on the overhead lights. The bed is very comfortable and there is plenty of drawer space for your things. Because of the Social Distancing, we didn’t interact very much but they are always available if you need them.”

“Stay here for the great, quiet location. For the yummy homemade breakfasts. For the kind, wonderful hosts. They really went out of their way to make our stay easy -- all of our dishes were whisked away and returned cleaned, and they even set out wine glasses when they saw the bottle we left on the counter. The house is beautiful, as is the yard -- it was relaxing to sit by the cozy fireplace and stare out at the stunning trees. Fantastic water pressure, plenty of towels, comfortable beds, plentiful tea, coffee, and hot chocolate... this place checks off all the boxes in spades.”

Running purified water, electrical/propane stainless appliances, full tub/shower, compostable toilet, internet. Fully furnished, with dishes, linens and toiletries.
“This tiny house is big on charm. We picked it to experience a tiny house, but also to get away from the city and the fireworks noise over 4th of July weekend. We had an excellent time, learned a lot about tiny living (hint: pack light) and got just the quiet weekend away that we were looking for. Cynthia and Doug were great hosts, giving us the space and privacy we needed, while also being accommodating of all of our questions. If you're looking for a relaxing stay in quiet surroundings, you can't pick a better spot.”
