Enjoy this private cabin located in the Adirondack park of NY in the town of Ticonderoga on a working alpaca farm. We are close to hiking, boating, fishing, and history. Fort Ticonderoga is 4.5 miles (10 minutes) from the cabin. The Ticonderoga beach on Lake George is 5.5 miles, Mossy Point Boat launch (Lake George) is 4 miles away and the boat launch to Lake Champlain is 4.5 miles. Mt. Defiance is 3 miles away. Star Trek Original Series set tour is 2.3 miles away.
“Peter and Lynne were wonderful hosts. Their place was clean, cozy, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Seeing the Alpacas in the morning and as we came and went was a special treat for the kids. We enjoyed feeding, petting, and learning all about them. The pool was beautiful but unfortunately, the weather prevented us from using it much. However, Lynne provided us with a backup plan and we had a wonderful day. Thank you for hosting us!”
Our cozy apartment attached to our garage can sleep 1-3 guests and provides a unique western vibe with views of our horses from the bedroom window. The property is roomy and private but also has two main houses and two barns within sight. We are 8 minutes from the Schroon Lake village with the river within walking distance to swim, kayak or tube in. This is also a great location for many of the tourist attractions like hiking, boating, fishing, skiing/snowboarding and snowmobiling.
“My husband and I stayed at Horse Views apt for our baby moon. The property was lovely and spacious- right out there in nature. We walked some of the trails on their property when we weren’t hiking nearby in ADK park. Short drive to the center of Schroon, stones throw from Paradox Brewery, about an hour from Lake Placid. The family and their pets were extremely welcoming and friendly, but not intrusive at all. We appreciated the coziness of the apt, the super comfy bed, and the thoughtful touches like eggs and pancake mix left for us. We will definitely plan another stay here!”
The River Cabin is a simple but beautiful original log home that has a gorgeous view of Schroon River and Schroon Falls. It is privately located on a quiet lot but also only 200 feet off of Route 9. This cabin was built in 1977, by our family. It has access to a private swimming hole where you can kayak, swim, fish or just hang out. This cabin has a full kitchen, living room with propane fire place, 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The basement has a unique game room with poker table and bar.
“Amazing stay!! Bonnie is the most meticulous host on Airbnb. She has thought of everything. There were so many thoughtful touches. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the front porch drinking coffee/tea in the morning listening to the falls and watching squirrels play. It was so relaxing. The location is great. Close to town/lake/restaurants/hiking trails/brewery. We had a blast using the kayaks and floating dock that Bonnie provided in the river/private swimming hole across the street from the cabin. We had delicious meals using the grill in the backyard followed by horseshoes and fire pit at night. All of the equipment provided was in good working condition. Some nights were spent playing cards on the poker table in the basement game room. The River Cabin was spotless. It was so clean and much appreciated in the times of Covid. I felt completely safe. Bonnie cleans everything properly and thoroughly. I have traveled extensively with Airbnb in the United States and internationally and this has been the best stay experience to date. I never stay at the same place twice. I cannot wait to come back to Bonnie's cabin next year. Stay here, you will not regret it!!”
