Amazing accommodation. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

We wanted a quiet , secluded place to relax and detox - and got it with this great cabin. The cabin is min. 150 years old, but has everything you need to live. Cozy beds, warm water, an oven heater and even recently electric light from a solar system, but no more. No electricity, no cell phone reception - but lots of peace and wood for chopping - wonderful. We arrived in the middle of the night with decent snow and minus degrees, so the heating and the first night was a challenge. The oven is also suitable for baking rolls, which tasted excellent. Thanks to the host for putting away our seven hours delay without any problems. Clear recommendation.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This is, hands down, one of the most gorgeous, peaceful and uncommon places we have ever stayed. Astrid & Andreas anticipated every possible need, and treated us like friends. We used the sauna, hot and cool tubs every day, and loved grilling on Easter. The fisherie was an amazing bonus, the delivered breakfast delicious, we loved walking along the grounds and the Easter fire was one of the coolest things we’ve ever gotten to do. We are already planning our next visit!

We stayed as a family for a week in this beautiful house. We felt at home, the fireplace spread cozy warmth in the house, the decor and furnishings were very cozy and homely. The beds very comfortable and this tranquility...!! An absolute dream! Every day we made excursions in the area for hiking, to Graz or southern Styria, here there are countless possibilities within an hour's drive. A dream house for us!

We enjoyed the opportunity to take beautiful hikes directly from the house. Likewise, the proximity to nature at the edge of the forest with the unique opportunity to observe animals and stars. Since it rained a lot for once, we were glad that we could stay in the house, feel good and benefit from the view of the valley through the full-length glass front. Also suitable for leisurely bike rides along the Mur. For something more athletically ambitious, also from the house along the wine route to Slovenia. Graz, which is beautiful, is about 40 minutes away by car. Approximately 6 km from the house is a beautiful swimming lake in Gamlitz. Gabriel gave us good tips for food and drinks and proved to be a good host. Thanks again for that!

We stayed at this villa for a few days. The service was great. Friendly, helpful, and always available. The villa was very cozyly decorated and clean. The area is really very beautiful. The kids had fun and the older ones were able to relax well. Unfortunately, the toboggan run or elevator was out of service and there was no other way to climb the hill with the sleds every time. Still, it didn't spoil our mood. Clear recommendation. Thank you very much.

Very nicely located cabin in the nature to unwind. The cabin is located on a slight slope: the garden is a little above, the creek goes down a long way. The path to the creek is comparatively steep and overgrown upstairs, good shoes are advisable here in autumn weather, as you slide out slightly. After the first few meters, everything is bright and the beautiful stream is definitely worth the effort. The property is not fenced, sometimes it goes down quite steeply. Here, caution is required with children and dogs. The cabin is top equipped for 2 people, with 6 people it could be scarce in terms of kitchen equipment in one place or another. The house next door is empty, but is being renovated at the moment. Of course, this does not make you quite as undisturbed as expected, but during the day you are on the road a lot anyway. There is no shortage of excursion destinations here.

It was an absolute dream stay in the so-called Schilcherland Chalet! After many bookings in other accommodations, we can say that this was by far our best experience. From the hospitality, to the fairytale premises, to the small, unexpected details that always put a smile on your face, everything was perfect! Baskets with fabulous breakfast from regional products, where every additional request is also fulfilled, were at the door every day at the desired time. Great views, nature, sauna, heated pool, hot tub, gym, wine bar with delicious selection... everything for private use... I can only warmly recommend the accommodation to everyone and if anyone has doubts whether it is really as beautiful as in the photos... it is even more beautiful! Dear Gert and dear Sabine, thanks again for the wonderful days :) As I said: We will definitely come back!!!

The stay was great. Check-in was very easy and so was the checkout. Have a few small things to complain about, jacuzzi did not work on the 1st day. There was no grill tongs available and there were no dishwasher tabs.. So you often had to drive back to a shop for small things. However, we were helped very quickly with questions and the lady was very nice and helpful. Problems with the Jacuzzi were resolved the next morning. We highly recommend the stay... There are beautiful hikes and nature is breathtaking.

The accommodation is a real insider tip. It is exactly as described. Half a star could be deducted due to the clairaudience (but only within the house, neighbors can't be heard) and for the mattresses that are too soft to our taste. It doesn't have an oven either. The utilities were absolutely fair. For a week we paid €66 for electricity and gas (with generous heating). We will be happy to come back.

Great location and great apartment. Check in/ out was very quick and easy. Contact with host was also quick and friendly.

Loved our stay! The lodge is absolutely pristine and perfect for our needs. We loved having the billiard table and sauna and that all the bedrooms had big comfy beds. The kitchen was really well stocked with utensils and it was easy to cook. The location was perfect for us too, with the slopes behind, the kids had a great time sledging and it was a great base for exploring. A breath taking view out of the windows was the icing on the cake. 5 stars all round.

We felt completely comfortable in the chalet! The view is simply fantastic and the surroundings wonderfully quiet. It was our first holiday with our 8 month old son – and our dog also felt very comfortable. A perfect spot for families! We will be happy to come back.

The contact with and the reception of Michaela & family was super nice, I was in good hands and felt comfortable right away. The chalet is beautiful and well furnished, extremely well equipped and everything was very clean. A feel-good place, rainy days can be well endured. The bathing bay is perfect for the beautiful days, long walks along the river and countless outdoor activities can be found around the area. A perfect stay!

Staying at Gerald's is fantastic. We and our dogs enjoyed it very much. The lakeside location is perfect. Swimming, SUP paddling or simply enjoying the sun was an unforgettable vacation for us. A heartfelt thank you to Gerald, he is a warm and accommodating host.

Gerald is an extremely accommodating host! Our accommodation was simply adorably furnished, we felt like we were in an English cottage. The large glazed sitting/sleeping berth offers a sunny and cozy place to read and relax - a real favorite spot! The private lake access is of course also awesome, whether in summer or winter. Overall, a place you'd love to come back to!

We were able to recharge our batteries in Gerald's cozy apartment. The area was absolutely quiet and perfect for long walks with our dog. Communication with Gerald was extremely good. He was always striving for transparency and went to great lengths to make our stay pleasant. Thank you for the wonderful time! We will be happy to come back!

I am absolutely thrilled: I have never experienced such a friendly and hospitable landlord. I was right at home. Everything explained, tips given, helped with the luggage… A very warm thank you, Gerald, for the beautiful days with you
