Waterfront vacation rentals in El Castillo

The place was fucken amazing. The allowed us to check in early as I drove there directly from the airport and arrived at 4am. I would definitely recommend driving when there is sun. The road is on the side of a mountain and at times we’re a little scary. But the place itself was superb. The vila was nice and the view was great. I would say the only thing was there was no AC and as a person from Canada it could get pretty hot in the morning. Other than that I love it.

We loved our time at Heather’s place. You can literally sit at the balcony and lose hours in watching the howler monkeys, toucans, orapendola and more go about their beautiful lives. This is a fabulous location and Heather made us feel very very welcome with great recommendations and homemade bread. Thank you so very much for having us!

We stayed here 3 nights over the weekend. Really beautiful house with a big garden where you are close to the nature. Ideal for a calm and relaxing stay. You also got to check out the lovely details around and inside the house. It was absolutely amazing!

My boyfriend and I traveled to Costa Rica to celebrate his birthday, and staying at Kelly and Alejandro's Airbnb made the trip truly unforgettable. When we arrived, they were incredibly welcoming and offered fantastic recommendations for local excursions. The location is unbeatable—just down the street from ziplining and Lake Arenal. Perched atop a hill, the property offers stunning views of the Arenal Volcano, making every morning a delight.​ The Airbnb itself is beautifully designed and well-structured. Waking up there each morning was lovely. They provided a basket of fresh fruits and eggs, which made for perfect breakfasts to start our days.​ Adding to the experience is the fantastic restaurant owned by Kelly and Alejandro, located just below the Airbnb. The food was delicious, and I highly recommend trying the burrito—it's a must! Dining there while enjoying the stunning views was a highlight of our trip.​ A special mention goes to Harley, their adorable cat. Deff recommend!!!

Words cannot describe how much my husband and I enjoyed our 6 day stay at Jim's place. From the unbelievably relaxing view to the crisp mountain air above the lake to the farm animals wandering around as if they were our own personal TV show, we truly loved our stay. Jim had great local recommendations, we day tripped to Arenal Volcano Nat'l Park, and found some of the best food we've ever eaten at a place right down the road called Gingerbread. All in all, this was one of our best trips and we would definitely stay again! (The only thing to note is, the farm has several roosters who have their own sense of time!)

The house is perfect if you are looking for a more jungle like experience. You definitely need a 4x4 car to get to the house and back out. It took us a little bit to find the house but with the descriptions given we made it. Don’t try to get there when it’s dark outside. Makes it more challenging. Everything was super clean and well made. Just make sure you look for scorpions before you sleep in the bedrooms. We had two big ones in the smaller bedroom. We were able to watch a thunderstorm and many animals from the balcony. It was amazing!

Fantastic accommodation with a fantastic view of Arenal volcano directly opposite. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to the birds on the balcony whilst sipping a morning coffee. It was such a luxury to have the river right on our doorstep and all to ourselves! A hidden gem just a 2 minute drive away from the hustle and bussle, we would highly recommend and stay again!

We enjoy a lot to spend holidays in this place, is peaceful, beautiful and confortable, I really recommend Villa Corazon. Looking forward to come back soon.
