We'll follow that with a mini hands-on session so you can learn hand positions. No worries if your pets don’t want Reiki with touch! We will meet at Folsom lake, which is a state park, and walk a short distance (5-10 mins) to be near the water, surrounded by nature. We will practice a form of meditation that incorporates Reiki (a form of energy healing, of which I will give a brief introduction), mindfulness, guided imagery, and nature awareness. This practice is a blend of silent and guided meditation, which will allow us to focus on the rhythms and sounds of nature, our own breath, and our connection to nature. I will show you how to let nature "bathe" you in healing energies, and how to share healing intentions with nature. My intention is that this experience will be inspiring and will allow each participant to not only tap into and benefit from the healing energy (which is present everywhere, and even more easily attuned to in nature), but also become aware of their own innate power to generate this energy, and share it with others. What we’ll do You will walk into the restaurant where the painting party is being held and will be directed to our art space. The table will be set with everything you need to create your masterpiece: tabletop easel, brushes, water cup, palette of paints, and an apron to protect your clothing. You will meet your talented instructor, who will make you feel at ease and welcome at this venue! Guests can order drinks, appetizers, and even a full meal to enjoy during the class from our excellent wait-staff at each of the venues. Once settled in your prime painting position, class will begin. Our master artist will walk you through the steps of the painting from beginning to end. You will start with the background, working from the top of the canvas down. Then you will add in your foreground subject matter. We will offer tips and tricks for your color-mixing, blending, and brushstroke techniques throughout the class. Finally you will add in finishing touches and details, and sign your one-of-a-kind masterpiece. At the end of class, we will take photos of you & your group for an added memory of your fun time with Painting & Vino Sacramento! Other things to note No experience necessary!
