We LOVE our neighborhood, bordering Pilsen and Heart of Chicago, mixed with family homes, up and coming entrepreneurs, college students, artists, performers, and the like. We have record and book stores, gift and clothing shops, artist work spaces, and creative restaurants that have opened in Pilsen, all between our home and eastward to Halstead. To our near West lie the Laganitas Brewing Company, the Cinespace, Chicago's film studio Thalia Hall has some great musical and comedic performers coming through. Some nearby eats: Parkview Diner on Damen & 19th St., they have the best Gorditas! Jumping Bean Coffee at the Damen Pink Line Stop brews a tasty cup and serves up tasty soups and sandwiches. 18th St. Bistro is budget friendly for breakfast and lunch. La Casa del Pueblo is our favorite grocery, they carry a lot of healthy items similar to what you can find in Whole Foods. There is also a Costco and Jewel-Osco just north of us near Ashland&Roosevelt.

Five minutes from the train station, which is 15 min from the city center. Great, lively neighborhood. This is a fantastic room with a fantastic host. It has a full size bed in an 8’X8’ room and is decorated with art from Mexican American artists who live here in Pilsen. If you’re looking for posh then stay in a different neighborhood. Prices are as low as $30 but generally are more on weekends. Lastly, please do not ask for an early or late check in because I can not accommodate that request.
Thanks for your trust and your consideration. This place is perfect for college-age or young professionals, but everyone, is welcome, First, this is my home and everyone is welcome, including LGBT peeps, all immigrants, women, international travelers, marchers, and everyone else. Positive, safe, and fun energy is welcome here. This neighborhood is considered an up and coming area for artists and is very cool. Within a few blocks there are authentic Mexican restauraunts, El Mesquite and El Milagro. Pubs are easy to walk to. I recommend Simone's but Harbee's is closer. It's also next to a park and a Mexican Museum. There's a liquor store right next (West side) of the train station and on the other side (East side) Family Dollar, which if you buy something there you can withdraw money and the ATM fees are only $1.50. So I go there to get laundry cash all of the time... and where I get my Junior Mints.:) The Pink Line train station is less than 5 minutes walk to my place. The bus #18 on 18th St. is 1 minute away. Bike rental is available next to the train station. If you're able to send me an inquiry about certain dates then those dates are, indeed, available and I'd love to host you. For everyone's safety I do request that guests upload a picture ID and a gov ID to AirBnB's website. After room is reserved please ask me for a video that I can send you that will take you from the train station to my place so you’ll know exactly how to get here. Train and bus passes can be purchased at any train station and the attendants are very helpful if you have any questions. It's $20 for a 3-day pass and $28 for a 7-day pass for both bus and the train. And to rent bikes for 24 hours it's $7.

Private room in an artistic 3rd floor apartment that's 1 block from the train which goes downtown in 15 minutes. Free public street parking is available. The building it is in is often graced by art shows on the lower floors and the apartment itself is full of art from local artists. We're located in the Pilsen Neighborhood near the Mexican Museum of Art, many local galleries, stores, restaraunts, and nightlife. You'll get a colorful taste of the real Chicago. Early & Late Arrival is okay!
The apartment is shared by the Airbnb host (me!) and has a kitchen, wifi, full bathroom, outdoor porch, and a huge living space and is always quiet & clean. It is in an old czech style building and so is more rustic than modern looking inside, but also far more artistic and fun than other places! I have 2 airbnb rooms, so you may meet other Airbnb guests!
It is located in the Pilsen Neighborhood which has a rich Latin American history and culture and is known to be one of the most creative neighborhoods in Chicago. There are many gallery spaces, restaraunts, shops and events run by long time locals of the neighborhood.

Once a butcher shop, this storefront is now an artist run studio space with a full bathroom (no kitchen). Sleeps 2 normally, can handle 4 (sleeper sofa). CTA Pink Line is across the street - bars, cafes, restaurants close by.
The storefront has one real bed for 2 people and we can easily accommodate another 2 or 3 if necessary. You'll have a bathroom and studio style live/sleep area. There is a mini-fridge and stereo system as well. We try to be as accommodating as possible with check-in/out times. The CTA's Pink Line is across the street and gets you downtown in 15 minutes. We're also a close walk to great bars, restaurants, cafes, galleries and venues. Pilsen is full of cool spots, here are a few to note: Intersect Coffee FREE---National Museum of Mexican Art Honky Tonk Prospectus Gallery Dusek's Thalia Hall Skylark Jumping Bean Cafe In addition to Pilsen's perfect late night taco spots and some of the best karaoke in town we're a 10 minute train ride from Chicago's Restaurant Row on Randolph. Most of the buildings are over 150 years old and European in scale. The architecture is primarily Czech with lots of detail. Today Pilsen is diverse and home to thriving and colorful artistic and Mexican communities. There are great vintage, record, book, and import stores as well as many bohemian cafes where artist come from their studios to talk about art and life, etc. There is an excellent choice of very authentic Mexican restaurants and bakeries, as well as other global cuisines such as a Creperie, Italian and Chinese restaurants, and wonderful Brunch options, etc. Nearby in Harrison Park there is the internationally renown National Museum of Mexican Art which is very unique, sophisticated and fun! They host many exciting events throughout the year. There is also an organic juice bar!

A 15 min walk southwest is the Heart of Chicago - the true “Little Italy”. Get some incredible gnocchi! Come see the culture and diversity that Chicago's Lower West side offers!
We are a small 6 Unit condo building with permit parking in the front (dont worry we have passes for you!) that is all owner occupied. We are centrally located to almost all the major festivals (Union Park, Douglas Park, Grant Park, Adams-Medill etc...)
One of the most authentic and diverse in the city, Pilsen has a melding of Hispanic culture that is full of life. To the East you will find rich street art murals, both fancy and cheap dining, and many independent vintage shops. Not far to the Southwest is the Heart of Chicago - the true 'Little Italy' of the city. There are also 4 breweries nearby: Lagunitas, Lo Rez, Alulu, and Moody Tongue.
