Covid-19 update 23rd June 2020 please read, house additional rules. We offer a traditional cosy, chalk stone cottage built in the 1700’s. Which was originally a crofters cottage. Situated in the charming village of Flamborough. It is a super location that will enable you to explore the beautiful Yorkshire coastline ideal for walking or cycling. The village centre is a 5 minute walk, offering a local Co-op store, pharmacy, butcher, baker, cafes, restaurants, fish and chip shop and several pubs.
“The cottage is very well equipped and beautifully furnished, it was very cosy and a home from home for us. Helen was very helpful with hints and tips for enjoying the lovely area and advising about places to eat. We will definitely return for another visit soon.”
Cockle Well cottage lies in the village of Bempton on the stunning East Yorkshire Coast. Tastefully decorated, this cosy cottage offers the ideal base to explore the local area. Filey and Scarborough are nearby with the RSPB Reserve only a mile away. Up to two dogs are welcome this cottage.
“This is such a beautiful cottage, very clean and nice little touches like tea and coffee along with milk. Even torches by the bedside and a small light at the top of the stairs. The attention to detail is excellent. Thoroughly recommend the cottage and only just over a mile from RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Parking is off street, which is a big bonus for the cottage. For photographers the location is just perfect as besides RSPB Bempton Cliffs other interesting places include Flamborough Lighthouse, North Landing and of course Bridlington. The Yorkshire Belle boat trip from Bridlington is a lovely way to see the coast and if you are into nature photography Bempton Cliffs from below. A little further afield is the North Yorkshire Moors Railway as featured on TV, about a hours drive to Pickering but well worth it. Take the train to Whitby and step into yesteryear.”
In the centre of the agricultural village of Bempton and Buckton, Polly's Parlour is part of Butterscotch Cottage. Built in the 1820s the traditional chalk built house was once the home of Polly Pudsey's Sweet-shop and has now been beautifully converted to provide two separate dwellings.
“What a wonderful place Polly’s Parlour is ! Everything has been thought about, from the excellent layout, to the thoughtful extra touches. Cleanliness is outstanding, bedding and towels are luxurious! We took our dog and he loved the beautiful outdoor space to explore. We found the home to be perfectly positioned for visiting Whitby, Scarborough, Filey, Flamborough and of course the fantastic Bempton Cliffs and Thornwick Bay. We stayed a week and could have stayed much longer there was so much to do. We particularly loved how cosy and warm the home was, being able to light the log burner each evening was delightful. Please don’t hesitate. You will not regret staying at Polly’s Parlour.”
