Unique activities hosted by local experts vetted for quality

  • Axe Throwing
Axe Throwing maybe relatively new to the UK but it's quickly gaining popularity. The reason for this is very simple, it is just so satisfying throwing axes. There is no better feeling than when the axe is thrown perfectly in to the board. It is very addictive and once you've got the correct technique, you will want to throw again and again. The activity sounds rather dangerous but with our safety measures in place, it is 100% safe. We begin with a safety briefing and move on to our practice boards once everyone is confident to throw. After a few practice throws, we take on the scoring targets, where it really gets fun. The targets are made out of rings, with each ring scoring higher points than the previous one. The dead centre ring (the bullseye) has the highest amount of points. The objective during the six rounds is to score the highest and to beat the opposition. Once you have mastered the axe throwing, we then move on to knife throwing. Knife throwing tends to be more difficult than the axe but again with tuition you will begin hitting the board. To summarise the experience is very relaxed, unique and is a whole lot of fun. Even those of you who have tried axe throwing before, will be surprised how different our experience is. Outdoor axe throwing is very different to indoor. If you are looking to book a different date or time (including weekends) please message me.

  • Archery
We are a Covid secure venue with all necessary requirements in place. I will meet and greet you when you arrive at the centre. After a very informal chat, I will run through the activity and will explain all the necessary safety procedures in place. We have a range of bows suitable for left or right handed archers. Each member will begin at a 5 metre distance from the target until they are deemed ready, by me, to move back to the 10 metre line. Once they have mastered this distance we will move to the final distance of 15 metres. During your session we will play a number of archery competitions to see who will be the hotshot of the day. We may even end with you shooting some balloons. Please message me with any questions or if you require booking another date.

  • Laser Clay Shooting
We are a Covid secure venue with all necessary requirements in place. Laser clay shooting is an outdoor electronic version of the countryside sport of clay pigeon shooting. The objective of the game is to try and hit clays as they fly across the sky with modified shotguns that fire laser beams instead of cartridges. A maximum of 5 people can fire at once with each person being able to hit the clay twice. The advantages over clay pigeon shooting is that there is no kick back, no loud bangs and no chance of injury. All ages and abilities can play with no experience needed. A fun competitive activity for any group size from 1 to 10. A session consists of six fun but competitive rounds, these include skillshot, fastest finger & rapid fire. We end the session with a team challenge to see how good you are in comparison to our previous groups. Is your group good enough to make it on to the airbnb experience leaderboard. To summarise it is a perfect activity for anyone looking to try something new. It's FUN, it's EASY TO LEARN and it's HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. Come and give it a shot (pun intended) If you are looking to book a different date or time (including weekends) please message me. Feel free to ask me anything.

We will explore the grand mountains of South Wales during this experience as we journey Dorian will share stories and legends of the Brecon Beacons. We will climb up onto Corn Du and watch the sunset from this excellent vantage point until darkness engulfs us. We will then head across to the highest mountain in South Wales, Pen Y Fan, to enjoy exceptional views that the dark skies reserve can provide. Fingers crossed for a clear night as our location will provide an ideal vantage point to see the Milky Way, major constellations, bright nebulas and even meteor showers, a must for any star gazer! On the summit of Pen Y Fan Dorian will help you orientate yourself by pointing out the major constellations. • Hiking in the Brecon Beacons
We will explore the less visited areas of the Brecon Beacons and climb some of the highest peaks in the area. On the day we will take into account the current weather conditions before making a decision on what route we will safely take, that saying you will receive an unforgettable experience with the some of the best views a camera can capture. With the weather on our side we could stride out to the highest Peak in South Wales, Pen Y Fan, via a route that takes us past waterfalls and gives us magnificent views of the mountain before we summit. This would be a strenuous but rewarding 18km hike. Alternatively we can explore the less visited peaks in the area which provide some of the best views within the National Park. Throughout the day I will impart local knowledge on various topics and draw your attention to amazing things that most will walk by without noticing. All you will need is your hiking gear, a camera and a packed lunch to enjoy the day.
