I absolutely love this place. Gregory, the host was Beyond amazing. The cottage was warm and welcoming, the walks and hikes in nature were so peaceful. Sitting by the water, time seems to stand still. I will definitely be back again.

We enjoyed our stay at Jeff's place. The cottage is thoughtfully designed with lots of natural light, pleasant wall art and two balconies to observe the lake and tree canopy. The cottage was minimally equipped but very neat & tidy. We took the provided canoe for a nice ride to explore the lake and its islands. Overall a nice spot to get away from the city.

Our stay at Stephanie’s cottage was wonderful. Lots of room within the cottage and beautiful scenery in the middle of winter. The communication was great and it was easy to get into the cottage. Would stay here again!

Paul is a very kind person and accommodation is a haven of peace in winter! I look forward to seeing the place again in the summer!

⸻ We had a wonderful stay at the lake house. The place fully matched the description — everything was just as expected. The house was clean and cozy, with fresh towels, clean bed linen, and plenty of kitchenware. The self check-in process was smooth and convenient. All appliances were in good working order, which made our stay even more comfortable. Thank you very much to the hosts for the warm hospitality and attention to detail. We would be happy to recommend this place and would gladly return in the future!

Spent 3 nights with 6 people and had a great stay. Easy, clear, flexible check in. Accurate listing. Nice house for good price. Hot tub was huge, hot and ready with a path shovelled in the snow. Tons of storage space in the house, big pantry and closets. Lots of clean towels for the hot tub. 15-20 minute drive to Edelweiss Ski Hill, 40 minutes from Ottawa. 3 feet of snow fell during our visit, the driveway was cleared quickly. Lots of parking space. We were able to make do with a front wheel drive but got stuck during the worst of the storm. Recommend 4wd for bad weather. The house had plenty of cooking/kitchen equipment. Coffee machine, toaster, blender and kettle. Some spices and seasoning. TV in living room on main floor. We were able to extend our trip for an extra night last minute with no issues. Minimal communication from host but we didn’t have any issues or need to contact them after check in.

We had a wonderful fall weekend get away. James cottage was perfect for what we wanted. Quiet, great view of the lake, nice toasty fire inside for the cool nights. We had a nice weekend! We will book again.

Absolutely perfect stay. The first night we saw a beautiful sunset over the mountain. The hot tub was amazing with a beautiful view. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Beds were outstanding, plenty of towels, plenty of wood and kindling! All in all if you are looking for a cottage with a beautiful view, and calming atmosphere this is the place!

Amazing property and hosts. Erin & Sadique were extremely responsive and answered all our questions. They even provided a high chair for my daughter on request. The property is expansive and you will truly feel like you have a private lake. The living room is so spacious and the wood makes it feel cozy despite the big size. The rooms are top notch much much better than your average Air BnB sinking mattresses. The bathroom in the main bedroom on the ground floor is just amazing. Our group made full use of the hot tub, easily accommodated 5 at a time and was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this place!

Fabulous location nestled in a forest with a series of wonderfully groomed walking trails. One can walk for several hours in the forest. The lake is a 10-minute walk from the cabin—the guests have access to a shared dock and waterfront space (it wasn't open yet for the season in May). The cabin itself is luxurious and is well represented in the images online.
