Vacation rentals with lake access in Gatineau

Our family had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It was clean, it had a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable rooms to sleep. The check-in process was easy and everything was easy to find in the home. Our kids loved the ping pong table. The hot tub was especially lovely as the weather was a bit cooler than we had hoped for! Again, a lovely visit and we would highly recommend. This is an excellently kept AirBnB and a really kind and thoughtful host. We had forgotten some belongings behind and were quickly notified and he offered to ship them back to us, making our life so much easier and solving a problem that could have been a headache! We will be back in the future!

The cottage was spacious, cozy, and well equipped. It was a wonderful way to spend a weekend and has plenty of space for lounging, comfortable bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of outdoor space and seating. We had a great stay with everything we needed!

We had a great time at Andrew’s cottage. The place is lovely and super clean. Andrew’s instructions to reach the cottage were very useful and clear. We spent all the daylight hours in the backyard by the river - what an amazing space - so many different options for just sitting around!! My whole family loved kayaking in the river (current is not strong) - kayaks, paddles and life jackets (even kids size) were provided. Our 5 year old loved the trampoline. Sunsets were spectacular. The cottage itself is super comfortable, very clean, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. The living area has a large picture window - perfect to sit by, sip a hot drink and watch the geese on the river when it is still cold to be outside. Overall great stay and would love to come back for a longer duration.

We had a great stay at Lisa’s place. It fit the five of us comfortably with more than enough space. The neighborhood was quiet but still an easy walk to everything we needed. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend or a longer-term stay, it’s an excellent choice. Would absolutely book again!

Jane’s cabin was perfect for our family getaway! We enjoyed the view of the water and taking long dog walks in the bush. Sitting in front of the log fire with my coffee was my favourite thing. Jane was very responsive and helpful letting us check in early. We highly recommend Jane’s cabin. We had a fabulous stay.

A perfect place to stay. Pristine, extremely comfortable. Quality through out. Even had casting available on the tv which I feel should be mandatory and really appreciate. Sylvie and Rick are excellent hosts. Always communicating immediately, proactively and taking care of little things expediently. (in fact if Rick has a message to deliver, he'll even be out in his shorts in -20 degree weather, what a trooper!) Wish I could give them 6 stars. The location is quietly rural, right on a river, but only 15 minutes from anything you need. We'll be back. Thank you both.

very beautiful place to stay, neat and comfortable

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We were in town for the Tulip Festival, and to do some hiking in the area. The location was good for our needs. The rental unit was perfect. Spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and free of clutter, with a well stocked kitchen (everything we needed for cooking our own meals). Ore and Festus were quick to respond to our messages, and are very welcoming. Highly recommended.

Sam was a great host and quick to respond to our questions. It was a great location with walkable food and shopping. I would stay there again and recommend it to others travelling there.

Diana was so generous! She left food for us in the fridge and on the counter -all the essentials plus bread, milk, peanut butter, jam, and much fruit. This place has a lot of character -a sunroom with antiques, generous room sizes, something for every age - toys and books for babies and children, games for teens and smart TV for adults. The large backyard and short walk to the river are so peaceful for nature- lovers. This home is close to very interesting boutiques and historical sights on Carleton Place’s main street. Such a blessing!

The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed to feel right at home. From the cozy atmosphere to the thoughtful touches throughout, it’s clear that the hosts take great pride in creating a welcoming and relaxing space. The location was peaceful and perfect for a family getaway, with plenty of space to enjoy time together. 10/10 would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a charming, comfortable, and well-cared-for home. We had a great stay at Tracy’s place. We went there right after the winter storm, roads were cleaned and access was clear. We had everything we needed. We loved having the entertainment and games in the cottage. The area was peaceful and less than hour from Gatineau National Park.

We had a wonderful stay at Eliane’s place! The cottage was very comfortable, very spacious, well decorated and very clean. The place is very quiet and peaceful and has a beautiful view on the Ottawa River. We would stay there any time again.

Kelly’s place felt like Grandma’s Cottage, in all of the best ways possible. It felt like a home away from home. Everything is well thought out, with touches of vintage decor and boardgames. It felt like a blast from my childhood and was really special watching my son play with toys I would have played with as a young kid. My whole family felt comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, bonfires and cute town of Wakefield. We would definitely recommend and would rent again!
