Cottage vacation rentals in Gatineau

Taha and Assaleh were excellent hosts, wonderfully communicative. Very much appreciated how responsive they were. This is a lovely place with an incredible view - we went at the end of winter but would love to perhaps come back in the summer.

We came to Ottawa from Edmonton for my daughter’s nationals volleyball tournament and decided to look for a place close by to stay few more days. This place was such a pleasant surprise and everything and more what we expected. Mounir’s place was so peaceful and being right on the lake was such a big treat. The house is so spacious and comfortable and the view from every room was magnificent! I really hope we could be back here again in the future. The communication with Mounir and Luis was also very good and they went out of their way to make it a pleasant time for us. Thx again!

We had a great stay at Tracy’s place. We went there right after the winter storm, roads were cleaned and access was clear. We had everything we needed. We loved having the entertainment and games in the cottage. The area was peaceful and less than hour from Gatineau National Park.

Beefy thing was great! Julie and Seb were very responsive and welcoming! Everything was exactly as described! I loved it definitely will come back!! Thank you very much!

Had a great stay at Adam's place for a couple of days. Adam was very nice and responsive. The hot tub after a day of snowboarding was a big plus. The fireplace was nice and cozy on a cloudy and rainy day. Overall, it was a great experience and can't wait to be back next season!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The place was even nicer in person compared to the photos. Great attention to detail. The beds were very comfortable with softer & firmer pillows. The wood stove by the big TV and cushy couch was great. The hot tub was amazing. Lake side view off the deck was very nice. Strongly recommend. We’d love to come back.

Kelly’s place felt like Grandma’s Cottage, in all of the best ways possible. It felt like a home away from home. Everything is well thought out, with touches of vintage decor and boardgames. It felt like a blast from my childhood and was really special watching my son play with toys I would have played with as a young kid. My whole family felt comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, bonfires and cute town of Wakefield. We would definitely recommend and would rent again! Le Shack was exactly what we were hoping for when we booked our cottage getaway! It is very well-appointed, inside and out, with the extra touches added by Shelly, such as the welcome gift basket for us, including our dog, and plush towels and water toys and equipment. The beds were very comfortable which is important for us. The location is peaceful and quiet so that we could hear the haunting loon calls on the lake. It was an idyllic five-night cottage experience which we won’t forget. Thank you Shelly!

We had a wonderful stay at Laura’s cottage. It had everything we needed for our relaxing weekend getaway. We sat on the dock and enjoyed the quiet lake even if it was during the winter. Lovely cottage on lake Mississipi that was perfect for 4 people and our puppies. Wonderful communication and easy check in and out process. Good distance from Carleton which has access to all you need. cozy stay.

The location was beautiful and very peaceful, host was accommodating and very friendly/responsive. Lots to do at the cottage to keep you busy for the weekend, would def recommend.

The house was fully equipped with all the essentials and everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was warm, spacious, and welcoming, providing a truly supportive atmosphere. We are 4 friends who wanted to have a few days to reconnect and enjoy precious moments in a beautiful and quiet environment, not far from Ottawa, where we all live. This gorgeous cottage offered us exactly what we needed: reasonable distance from Ottawa, yet in a beautiful setting, decorated with care, with excellent, clean bedding, and very pleasant and comfortable living room. Each of us had their own room, which we appreciated as well. The kitchen was very well equipped and was a great hub, large enough to enable us all to cook and eat together. The cottage had a homy and welcoming feel - not clinical and soul-less like some other Airbnbs have become. We are all thrilled with our weekend, and very grateful that this gem was available to us. We would definitely come back!

Dayna and David are INCREDIBLE hosts. They took care of every detail and looked after us when we were effectively snowed in. Their home is creative, beautiful, peaceful, spacious. I could not have asked for a better place to stay. The whole neighbourhood is gorgeous and talk about lovely people! We want to come back in the summer. And the sauna! Let me tell you, in the winter, this was the sweetest treat. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience and how we were treated - like close friends. They get my highest recommendation.

Amazing stay over the weekend surrounded by nature, and hidden among the trees! The cottage was cozy, welcoming and one of the cleanest cottages I have seen! Fresh towels were placed on all of the beds, the beds were comfy, firewood was provided to keep a fire going all weekend long and it was a quiet, peaceful place to relax. Very happy with the location and Danny was always very quick to answer and extremely flexible! Would rent again in a heartbeat!
