Family-friendly vacation rentals in Grand Marais

The little blue house was exactly as described and Kolton’s instructions on how to use the tv, hot tub, lock up were so clear and detailed that it was seamless. The out door shower and hot tub were so relaxing to use at the end of the day. The closed in gazebo was perfect for morning coffee and we enjoyed pizza on the deck in the comfy chairs. Helpful restaurant brochures, plenty of towels, air con, shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer all supplied, added to making the stay so lovely. The back sliding door is a bit heavy to open and close but that was the only drawback. So much offered in this place that I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Kolton!

Had a wonderful two night stay. Gayle was exceptionally quick at getting back to me with questions I had prior to our stay and very understanding when I had to change the dates slightly. The condo is lovely and looks just like the pictures. We enjoyed the full kitchen, the bed was very comfortable and my little nieces loved using the pool. Will definitely stay here again.

Our stay was so relaxing and very enjoyable! As a parent this condo was perfect to prepare meals and have plenty of refrigerator space! We all enjoyed our stay very much!

We absolutely love getting an opportunity to spend time @littleretreat it feels like a home away from home. It is such a peaceful place, and we love all the trails through the forest and sitting by the wood stove. It’s so wonderful finding properties that are pet friendly and our dogs love it. Michael is a great host and makes you feel like you are just popping into a family members place while they are away. Can’t wait to get back.

A wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed every second we got to spend at Jeffrey & Michelle’s. The cabin is spacious, clean, and absolutely beautiful. We spent a lot of our time at the beach, which was just steps away. The beds are so comfortable (seriously - it felt like sleeping on a cloud) and the AC in the rooms made it nice to sleep during the heat wave. The kitchen had all cookware and utensils that we needed. It was clean and easy to cook/clean up. The area is wonderful and there is a lot to do, we spent time in Gimli and Winnipeg Beach and both were very close. Our toddler was so excited to play with some toys from eve’s toy box and that was a magical touch. Overall, we couldn’t recommend Jeffrey & Michelle’s place more (especially for families with young kiddos). Thank you Jeffrey & Michelle for your hospitality and for sharing your little paradise with us!

This cabin is so cozy and inviting! We enjoyed our long weekend getaway, even though it was quite possibly the coldest weekend of this winter season! The hosts were very responsive and we appreciated the info they sent us in advance of our stay, letting us know of the winter activities taking place over the weekend. It was also nice that the cabin is pet friendly. I'm sure it would be beautiful in summer as it is only a short walk to the lake.

Marc has a rustic cottage close to the Lake in a beautiful wooded area. I grew up in Winnipeg but moved out east 25 years ago. The cottage was right out of my childhood. We loved the screened in area in the back of the cottage and ate all our meals out there. We enjoyed fires in the evening and all the space to play outdoor games. It was great having a long sandy beach near by. Marc had so many things for the kids to do: Lego, games, puzzles and videos. The kids had a great time.

We spent a wonderful weekend at Dave's place, and the children were very happy. They saw many little squirrels. The kitchen is fully equipped and we also had a BBQ on Saturday night which was very easy to operate. But remember to bring mosquito repellent. Thanks to Dave and Camille for all the preparation and communication, we will consider coming back again.

Had a great stay at the cabin, it was lovely! Extremely clean and lots of nice little touches. Good location close to several beaches and not too far from the local shop. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great location right on the water, and had everything we needed for our stay from the bbq, living spaces and water access. Dan was a great communicator. Only hiccup was the lack of toilet paper and paper towel. We had to make a run in the morning to grab our own supplies for the cabin, Dan was accommodating and let us use their fire wood for the inconvenience but it would be something to make sure is stocked for future guests.

We stayed at Nancy's place for a hockey tournament. The house was perfectly located a short walk from the hotel where the rest of the team was staying. It happened to be the same weekend as Gimli's Ice Festival. The house was a perfect, quiet retreat. Lots of sitting/lounging area and very clean. She was very friendly, responsive, and super accommodating. Kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. There were also lots of extra blankets and pillows. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
