Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Great Slave Lake

Sasha’s place was a fabulous place to stay in Yellowknife! We very much enjoyed the warm, cozy atmosphere, the little extras like the book of recommendations for places to eat and things to do, the tourist-y brochures, and the basket of books. The bed was comfortable, the shower water was hot and the pressure was just right. The kitchen had all the little amenities we needed and the nespresso machine was definitely a treat. Thank you Sasha and family for sharing such a lovely space with us! Highly recommend for anybody who comes to Yellowknife. There’s enough to do in the area that is walking distance (even in the snow) that you don’t need a car. We did rent one because we like to get out and explore at our leisure.

Aurora Oasis was a wonderful place to stay. Very comfortable, well furnished, and stylish. The deck allows guests to overlook the lake and get some incredible night time views of the sky. Its a walkable neighborhood with access down to the lake. We visited in March and the lake had a walking path around it and we could have walked to the museum. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The beds were very comfortable, particularly after staying up late to view the night sky. Lindsay was very response to questions and a great host. We really enjoyed our time in Yellowknife and having a wonderful place to stay was one of the main reasons. I would certainly recommend Aurora Oasis for someone visiting Yellowknife.

The house was perfect for our group of 4 adults. So spacious and comfortable which is needed for winter time. Loved the personal touches with the bottled water by the bed and bathroom amenities. Oh and the heated floors were amazing! Kitchen well stocked - the house had everything! We were close enough to walk to Old Town. And we got home so late from Aurora Lights tour and hungry so it’s nice the pizza place just next door was open until 3a. Great stay and highly recommend!

Isis and Shea were such amazing hosts! Super friendly and were a great resource for things to do around Yellowknife . The unit was comfortable and had everything you needed with the most spectacular view of the lake . Can’t wait to come back!

my stay at this Airbnb was a fantastic experience. The combination of cleanliness, spaciousness, and a serene environment made it the perfect getaway. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay. I was also surprised by the Easter Bunny on my way out.

Great cozy stay. Loved the complimentary slippers. House was filled with plenty of housewares. Bonus comfy bed.

"There were seven of us who shared the home (10B) and we really appreciated the size, kitchen and overall condition of the home. We were all able to congregate at the dining table eating and playing cards, and the kitchen enabled us to prepare good food and snacks for the entire stay. We really liked the music-playing refrigerator and other amenities and appliances of the house. The back porch was a delight as a fox visited us and stayed for a while, it was also a great place to see the Northern Lights. We were a little warm the whole time and couldn't really find a way to turn down the heat except to open a window. The television required a little knowledge of rocket science in order to get it to work, but luckily we had a rocket scientist with us. Most of us will no longer patronize AirBnB because of their support of the current administration in the USA.
