Spectacular Mountain Retreat

Cottage is the guest house of our country home. Situated on a mountain with spectacular views of the Blue Ridge and access to many hiking trails; biking; fishing and swimming in private pond only steps from the door. Cottage is located within easy driving distance of multiple wineries, Sky Line Drive and Shenandoah National Park; Montpelier; and restaurants and shops. We can accommodate no more than one dog, with prior permission. In April 2023, we again upgraded our internet (see below).

The property offers endless hiking, wildlife galore, screened porch, 12' deep pond & frontage on Elk Creek. Great convenient location as our cabin is 15 min to Massanutten 4 season resort, 5 min to the nearest Shenandoah River access & 15 min to the main SNP Swift Run entrance.

The Carriage House is located at South River Vineyard, a working vineyard producing Viognier and Petit Mensang grapes. Guests have exclusive use of the two bedroom, one bath cottage with views of the vineyards and the surrounding Shanendoah foothills and neighboring pastures. Located just 20 miles from Charlottesville/University of Virginia, 12 miles from the Swift Run Gap entrance for Skyline Drive and 15 miles from Massanutten Resort. Bring your hiking shoes, bicycles, and dog!
