Whitefield is a charming and beautiful two-storey waterfront property, situated just minutes outside of Eganville, ON. Whitefield offers a bright & comfortable living space, with spectacular views overlooking Mink Lake. The spacious 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms can accommodate up to 14 adults.
It is the perfect retreat for friends, family, & loved ones to gather, relax, & have a marvelous time.
Cottage is winterized & available all year around.

Whether to wake up to stunning sunrises over the tranquil lake, sip on favourite drinks while taking in the splendid views from the dock, explore the pleasant waters on kayak, paddle boat or by swimming, enjoy meals in the spacious kitchen or on the lower or upper decks of the cottage, or gaze at the starlit skies and enjoy scrumptious s’mores by the warm fire, great times and adventures awaits here!
All Renters must read and agree to the Whitefield Cottage Rental Agreement (found below) to complete the booking.

Bed Linens and Bath Linens are not provided. Guests will need to bring their own or request from Owner (fees may apply).

Whitefield Cottage Rental Agreement
1. OCCUPANCY
a) Any person, regardless of age is considered a “renter/occupant” of Whitefield Cottage.
b) Renters/Occupants who allow guests at Whitefield Cottage, either daytime or overnight in excess of the pre-authorized maximum number of occupants will be subject to either immediate eviction without refund, or a $100.00 per unauthorized guest charge, at the sole discretion of the Owner.
c) Sub-letting of Whitefield Cottage is not permitted. Where separate parties will be occupying Whitefield Cottage at different time periods, Rental agreements must be completed and accepted by the Owner for each party.
d) Camping, tenting, trailers, or other additional accommodations facilities are not permitted on Whitefield Cottage property unless previous written permission has been obtained from the Owner.
2. RESTRICTIONS
a) The Renter agrees to abide by all the restrictions set out in the Whitefield Cottage Rental Agreement.
b) The Renter agrees that he/she is responsible for the adherence to these restrictions of any and all occupants to Whitefield Cottage during his/her stay.
3. PETS & SMOKING
a) No pet policy in effect, unless authorized by owner.
b) No Smoking inside Whitefield Cottage.
4. GENERAL
a) The Renter acknowledges that there are surveillance cameras on the outside of the property for the safety and protection of the Property as well as the Renter.
b) The Renter acknowledges that there are door and window sensors inside the property but remain inactive during the Renter’s stay. (Alarm system).

CHECK-IN TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. PARKING
a) Vehicles should not be driven or parked on the grass.
There are drainage pipes under the grass as well as the septic tank that can be damaged if driven over.
2. KITCHEN
a) Renters will bring all personal necessities such as drinking water, grocery items, paper towels, etc.
b) All cupboards and drawers have been labelled for easy use.
Cupboards and drawers with no labels are left empty to allow Renters space for their items during their stay.
c) All cupboards have pictures inside to help Renter put away the belongings.
d) The refrigerator is provided in a clean and empty state.
e) A water cooler is available for use. Renters may bring their own jugs (15L) to use the cooler.
3. BATHROOM / BED LINENS
a) Renter will bring all personal necessities such as septic safe toilet paper, toiletries, bath towels etc. Septic safe toilet paper provided to start, Renters are responsible for their own consumables after the initial reserve provided is used.
b) Paper towel, wipes and other sanitary paper should not be flushed down the toilet.
c) Renter will bring own bed linens unless otherwise arranged with owner
4. DISH/HAND SOAP
a) Soap re-fill bottles are under the kitchen sink
b) Dish washer detergent can be found in the drawer labelled “Cleaning Supplies”
5. LAUNDRY DETERGENT
a) Detergent is provided.
6. GARBAGE
a) Do not throw garbage or waste into the lake, pond water or fire pit
b) All collected garbage should be put into the provided large clear garbage bags first before keeping them in the Garbage Bins under the carport
c) Garbage Bins are to be kept locked at all times.
d) The combo for the Garbage Bins will be provided with the check in details. The bins must be locked at check out.
7. KAYAKS, PADDLE BOAT & MUSKOKA CHAIRS
a) There are 2 Kayaks, 1 Paddle Boat and 14 Muskoka chairs available for Renters to use.
b) Alcohol beverages are prohibited on all boats and kayaks.
c) The kayaks must be pulled up to the grass area when not in use, along with the paddles for them to avoid the lake carrying them away.
d) The paddleboat must be attached to the dock when not in use.
e) The paddle boat and kayaks are all kept in the Red Shed at the back of the property.
f) The key to the Shed can be found on the key holder in the Kitchen/Dinning area. (The wall on the left after the front closet).
8. LIFEJACKETS
a) Life Jackets are provided for Renter’s safety.
They are kept in the Supply Room of the lower level of the cottage (near foosball table).
9. BBQ PROPANE TANK
a) Renters are provided with 1 full tank of propane for their barbecuing needs.
b) Renters can contact the Owner if they require a refill.
Refills are $25 per tank.
10. FIRE PIT
a) The fire pit can be used at the Renter’s discretion. Owner is not responsible for any injury or bodily harm caused by the fire, fire pit or activity in general.
b) Firewood is supplied at the request of the Renter (1st Bundle Included / Additional Bundles Fee: $10.00/bundle).
Renters should not use the wood on the backside of the garage.
Garbage cannot be burnt in the fire pit
c) Watering tool can be found in the Shed. It must be kept within reach, with water, anytime fire pit is being used.
11. WIFI
a) The internet information is provided on the TV console.
12. FIRE STOVE
a) The fire stove in the basement living room is NOT to be used or tampered
with. If term is violated, a fee will be deducted for any damage as well as any additional cleaning required.
13. GENERAL
a) Basic cleaning supplies have been provided. Renters are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of Whitefield Cottage, including the bathroom, kitchen sink, microwave and stove.
b) Outdoor shoes/water shoes must not be worn inside the house.
c) Keep outdoor noise to a minimum and to a decent hour of the night.
d) A landline is available for Renter’s use as the reception on cell service is not steady. Calls within Ontario are free; any charges incurred for additional calls made will be charged to the Renter.
e) On the day of check in, take a few minutes to look around the cottage and please inform the owners of any items that appear to be missing, broken/damaged.

CHECK-OUT TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. KITCHEN
a) Renter will ensure all items are placed in their appropriate places based on the labels in the kitchen. Please use the pictures for guidance.
b) All cabinets and drawers with no labels should have no items left in them.
c) Renter is responsible for emptying out all cabinets, drawers and refrigerator of their personal items.
Renter will take back all food items, condiments, spices etc.,
d) The dishwasher must be run and emptied out prior to check-out. Ensure items are dry before placing in drawers & cupboards.
Cleaners charge additional for unloading the dishwasher. Renter will be responsible for this fee if dishwasher is not unloaded.
2. BATHROOM
a) All bathroom cupboards and drawers will be emptied out of personal belongings.
3. GARBAGE
a) Limit: 4 bags TOTAL (Recycling & Garbage) included in bookings. Additional fees will apply to any excess garbage/bottles left on the property not discussed with the Owner.
b) Bottle removal from the property is the responsibility of the Renter unless otherwise agreed upon with the Owner
c) Garbage will need to be tied up into the large CLEAR garbage bags/Recycling into the large BLUE recycling bags. (All bags are provided)
d) The bags will need to be placed into the black/grey Garbage Bins under the carport.
• ANY items left outside of bags will be charged additionally at a rate deemed necessary by the Owner.
• Additional fees also apply if the bags are overfilled/too heavy causing them to break.
e) Once Garbage Bins (under Car Port) are used, the bins should be locked up.
f) Nearby local landfill sites located a short drive away, if you need to dispose your own garbage:
• Shaw Woods Road
• Berndt Road Transfer Site
• Ottawa Valley Waste Recovery Centre
4. KAYAKS, PADDLE BOAT & MUSKOKA CHAIRS
a) The 2 Kayaks will need to be put back in the Red Shed at the end of your stay.
b) From Jun 1 to Sept 5, the Paddle Boat can be left secured to the dock and all the Muskoka chairs left under the gazebo or lower deck.
c) During the remainder of the calendar year, the Paddle Boat will need to be put back in the Red Shed. The Muskoka Chairs will need to be left under the gazebo or lower deck.
d) Renters will lock the Shed and return the key to the key holder found in the Kitchen/Dinning area. (The wall on the left after the front closet).
5. LIFE JACKETS
a) All life jackets and water equipment taken from the supply room will need to be returned to this room.
6. BBQ PROPANE TANK
a) Please leave all used tanks on the bottom deck and ensure BBQ is left clean.
7. FIRE PIT
a) Empty out watering tool and return it back to the Shed.
8. GENERAL
a) It is the renter’s responsibility to clean the property to the same standard it was on arrival.
b) All floors should be cleaned of visible garbage, dirt and food items.
c) All garbage bags should be taken out.
d) Complete the Checkout Check List and leave it on the kitchen counter.
e) Turn off all lights and ensure all windows and doors are locked.
