Everything about The Milking Parlour and its setting - and its owners - wildly exceeded my expectations. The Parlour itself is beautifully imagined, equipped and furnished. Its setting in the grounds of the main house is private and has a wonderful outlook on the meticulously maintained gardens and the fields and hills beyond. Poppy had left some very inviting welcoming provisions - the sherry was a particularly thoughtful touch! My dog clearly felt she had entered the Elysian fields - so much space to wander and to sniff - a picturesque pond, the River Brue and lots of charming nooks to explore. It was wonderfully peaceful - a place in which you immediately relax. Poppy and Will were as welcoming and kind as if I'd been an old friend. I will look for opportunities to return.

Tanya was friendly and helpful but respected privacy. The Forge was comfortable (the bed!) and cosy (log fire burning on arrival) with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I was doing a weekend gardening course at Homeacres, just a few minutes walk away so perfect for my needs. The good pub next door is busy at times but not noisy at night - they don't always serve food so check first. Thanks for the hot cross buns Tanya!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Silvia's flat! The apartment itself was lovely – clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and felt like a true home away from home. It was the perfect size and had everything we needed for our visit with two king size bedrooms. Sylvia was welcoming, friendly, and communicative from booking right through to check-in. We especially appreciated the thoughtful personal touches throughout the flat – it's clear she puts a lot of care into making her guests feel comfortable and looked after. Check-in and check-out were seamless. We recommend Sylvia’s place to anyone visiting the town and would definitely stay here again ourselves. Thank you, Silvia
