Vacation rentals with lake access in Halifax

I can not say enough good about our stay!! My family and Myself are very pleased and overwhelmed with how perfect this home was for our stay!! I would highly recommend to anyone!! And definitely atay again!! Ty so much for everything!! 😃

Probably out favorite AirBnB to date. We needed a bigger place than usual for the whole family - and this perfectly fit the bill. Huge, great kitchen, very comfortable, and very clean. Everything was A1. It only took us 24 minutes on average to get from here to Centennial Pool for our swim meet - totally worth the short drive to have a place that comfortably accommodated everyone. Would definitely stay here again if we need a similar size location in Halifax again.

We loved our stay! The apartment was very cute, clean, and comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Emma was a fantastic host and responded very quickly to any questions we had. We also really liked the location—close to everything we needed, but still quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our second time staying at the den of zen and we loved it just as much as we did the first time! Everything about it is relaxing, wonderful, exactly what you see in the photos, and more. The peace and nature around you is beautiful. Easy check in, gorgeously designed inside and out, we absolutely love it there and plan to make it a yearly tradition. Rain or shine, there’s plenty to do, inside and out. You can be out on the water, playing yard games, soaking in the hot tub, playing board games, lounging around, etc., all onsite without a stress in the world! I felt like I was at a spa, even the bathroom is gorgeous! When I closed my eyes and opened them again and realized we were there, I instantly smiled and was so happy that we were able to go again 🥰 Thank you Shelley and Guy, you have a beautiful property and we will be there again! 💕

Kelly and Doris are incredibly friendly and quick to respond. Our stay was a last minute booking. Both kelly and Doris helped us feel right at home. The property is an Oasis. It has everything your family will need. The pictures do not do it justice. The quiet peacefulness you feel well sitting by the lake is everything you want and need. We will be coming back!

Jim’s place was close to family we were visiting in Nova Scotia. It was the perfect home away from home - quiet and cozy. Jim was a great communicator- letting us know exactly what to expect. We had a large travel van with kayaks on top. Jim’s place accommodated this perfectly. We would for sure make this property home base again next time we are in the area!

Great location for our stay. Apartment was clean and spacious with most comfortable beds. Jin was easy to contact and responded to requests quickly. The lake was a bonus with dock for swimming and plenty of outside seating. We would definitely recommend for an enjoyable stay in Dartmouth!

Beautiful basement suite with full kitchen, bathroom with toiletries, washer and dryer and a lounge room with streaming services and cable. Lovely setup with separate entrance for privacy, easy to find and easy instructions to get in. Snacks, juice and bottled water also provided. Would recommend. Only thing that would’ve been nice to have on hand would be a fan for the bedroom and a hair dryer, otherwise everything was great.

We stayed for a week at Treena’s place in Lakeview while visiting relatives in nearby Bedford, NS. We found the accommodations very nicely furnished, clean, modern, and well-equipped. The kitchen is small but functional and has most equipment one would need. The situation is very private and quiet, and we were able to use the wood stove, firepit, and gas grill. We found enough supplies like coffee pods, paper products, and dishwasher detergent to easily get us through the week. There are some lovely walking trails in the area, which feels more remote than it really is, but keep in mind that a car is necessary to get around. We would definitely stay again next time we Visit Nova Scotia.

Thank you for being such lovely hosts! We immediately felt right at home. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and quiet. It was a wonderful place to wake up to the snow. Thoughtful amenities, lots of space, comfortable places to eat, drink, read and watch Christmas movies. We didn't want to leave. So much generosity was extended to us due to the storm, and I look forward to returning! We very much were well taken care of.

This was the most amazing place. We spent a week here and Everything you needed or wanted was right in this place. The surroundings were peaceful, very inviting. Gillian checked in with us halfway through our stay to see if we needed anything. The beds were very comfy. The firepit is beautiful there was a fully stacked wood pile to use for the fire. There were lots of chairs all around to sit outside or out by the the dock. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Gillian and Scott for your hospitality.

The cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Great communication great service. We were there longer than most, but it was a very comfortable cottage.

The cottage is adorable and I loved the comfy beds and just the coziness of the cottage. The view is great and the sea breeze was so relaxing.

We had the most beautiful stay at this cozy cottage! Falling asleep to a stunning view and the sound of waves crashing was so peaceful. The place was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were awesome! One of the sweetest touches was the gift basket left for us to celebrate our anniversary, it truly made our visit feel extra special. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a restful retreat! :)

We Had a family reunion “staycation”!! This Was a perfect spot. Open space for the play pen and baby toys! Beautiful view & yard. We brought our own groceries and stayed in. The kitchen was very workable and had all the kitchen tools we could have needed. The wood stove was such a relaxing mood setter. The outdoor hot tub was lovely! (2 ppl) The deck was perfect for enjoying the outdoors with babies! Host had loads of little fine touches. Washer & dryer worked great! Parking was good, right next to the door and no stairs needed. Felt right at home and very comfortable! This is a perfect location of longer stays!

Beautiful spot to stay. The home is stunning and the water front is so peaceful. It was raining when we visited but it didn’t matter as we loved to stay inside and take full advantage of the space. Will be coming back!

Unsere Erwartungen an unseren Aufenthalt in der Doucette Lodge wurden in jeder Hinsicht übertroffen. Die Gastgeber waren jederzeit für uns da und kümmerten sich sehr herzlich um uns, wenn wir es wünschten. Die Lage am See ist einfach perfekt. Der Weg in die Stadt, an Strände und zum Flughafen ist sehr kurz. So hatten wir auch die Möglichkeit, an Orte zurückzukehren die uns gefielen und dazwischen die Ruhe der Lodge zu geniessen. In der Lodge fehlte es uns an nichts. Es ist alles da, was das Herz begehrt. Wir werden den Aufenthalt nie vergessen und hoffen, bald wieder an diesen wunderschönen, erholsamen und herzlichen Ort zurückzukehren.

Our group of 8 (plus a golden retriever pup) had an incredible stay at Stephen’s place. It was easy to find and checking in and out was seamless. The space was perfect for a larger group with all of the living spaces and seating, great for games and meals. We had all we needed in the kitchen for the group and even a welcome bottle of local cider. The outdoor space was great for our dog to run around and even get in a swim, a bonfire, and relaxing on the deck. A beautiful, homey place to stay inside and out. Stephen was quick to respond and accommodating to all of our needs! A perfect host!

Every year my family and I rent a cabin out of the city you get away and enjoy the quiet for Christmas. This year we found this location. From the moment we arrived we took note of the Bay and tall trees surrounding the property. Inside the home had a beautiful layout with space and a brightly lit tree for our christmas. We hiked, sledded, took photos, saw every star in the clear night sky from a soothing woodfire hot tub, and sat at the edge of the property and watched a couple seals Bob up and down in the waves. 10/10 Christmas and we hope to go back again in the fall. We highly recommend checking it out!
