This place is such a gem, there’s a creek and the bay right next door as well as a well used hiking trail! Lucie was very kind and very helpful during our stay when a storm caused the power to go out. The home is cute and one of a kind, but as she says it is country living. We had quite a few creepy crawlers (big ones) and a few other funny visitors but all in all we loved our stay and Lucies place just feels so special

Karen was terrific, always responding quickly to our questions. The setting and house were beautiful with all the comforts of home. The house was conveniently located for a variety of destinations in DownEast Maine.

My daughters and I traveled to the area for my son's wedding in Acadia NP. The Shackteau is lovely, clean and just as described. I would book again.

Had a great stay. Amenities were fantastic and felt like we had plenty of privacy. Good location to get to Bangor and Bar Harbor easily. Would gladly stay again.

A perfect spot in every way!! We had the most peaceful and cozy getaway. Everything was clean, comfortable, and renovated (beautiful bathroom). We felt spoiled by the view right outside of the spot as well as the proximity to Acadia! What a wonderful space!!

Lorianne keeps the cottage very clean and feels like home. Lorianne was a very response and proactive host and the suggestions that she gave us were very helpful. Unfortunately it was cold during our stay, so we didn't make the campfire right outside the cottage.

A beautiful, restful home hosted by wonderful people. Great location for accessing nearby parks, including Acadia, but it stands on its own as its own vacation spot on the water. Hosts are super welcoming and helpful, and provide you with all the comfort and information you need. Looking forward to coming back some day.

If you’re humming and hawing about booking the spring house - BOOK IT. An absolute physical and mental oasis in the woods. The stars were spectacular, the cabin itself is so well kept and with so much intention. The bed is so comfortable we could have slept all day. The kindest people and the getaway you’re looking for.

Cozy cottage! Would still recommend for non-couples (I was with my mom!) The location is beautiful and the place was very clean with comfortable beds. They brought us some nice dry firewood and made sure we had everything we need. Not much to do in Winterport itself but we drove to Acadia for the day and enjoyed staying in a more quiet area.

We had a fantastic stay at The Blueberry Cottage! The cottage itself was beautiful and so well-equipped – it truly had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable visit. It was exactly as pictured and described, and the privacy was a real plus. We also felt very safe in the area. This was the perfect spot to relax and entertain old friends. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a truly magical stay for our honeymoon. This place is so special, beautiful, and peaceful. Incredible views and completely tranquil. Converse was an amazing host and provided us great recommendations and even a lobster pot for lobster night. Such a romantic place, I cannot recommend this enough!!

Our stay at Michelle’s was one of the best I’ve experienced. The space was beautiful, cozy and so well thought out. Michelle has truly thought of everything! She even left snacks, plenty of coffee and tea, and bottled water. So many thoughtful touches throughout the space! The view is beautiful, loved having coffee on the deck in the mornings, and listening to the peepers at night. Michelle is an excellent and kind host, and we’d be delighted to return!

This is a cozy and comfortable home and was perfect for our family of 7. The town is gorgeous with many activities within walking distance and driveable to multiple sites. Everything was as described and our host provided tips for touring and was responsive to any needs.

We had a great few days at the cottage! My husband and I were there for our mini-moon and loved how close it was to Bar Harbor and all the amazing hikes Acadia has to offer. Peggy left some great food recommendations—we went to Sweet Pea Cafe (just down the road) three nights in a row. They are now currently closed for the season but visiting when they are open again is a must!

We enjoyed staying in this airbnb. Although it was tiny, the space was well thought out and I liked the unique and careful touches to make the space feel warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend staying here!

Aimee and David's place is new and beautifully done. We enjoyed meeting them both. Loved the place: The view, ease of access (once you find it the first time!), cleanliness, and the general layout. The kitchen has everything you need and there's plenty of storage available in the rooms and bathrooms. The bedrooms and bathrooms are identical so there was no discussion as to who gets the better view, etc.! Everything from the layout to the conveniences is well thought out. I loved having my morning coffee on the deck overlooking the Taunton bay. Thank you Aimee and David. I hope to go there again.

The Windhaven Guesthouse is a beautifully and thoughtfully decorated gem of a place, tucked in among the trees between two sections of stunning rocky beach and shoreline. The guesthouse isn't directly on the water but you can see the ocean through the trees and hear it night, and you have immediate access to private natural beaches to enjoy at your leisure. We explored several of Vinalhaven's Land Trust nature trails and sanctuaries, but enjoyed watching the tide come and go on the stretches of beach directly around the guesthouse very much as well. The gardens on the property are lovely as well. Just beautiful.

Aaron was a helpful and responsive host. He gave great suggestions right away and was approachable and easy to communicate with. I felt that he went above and beyond in his offerings on site. I would highly recommend this very cute cabin and would stay again!
