“The host was very responsive to questions. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It is in a very nice location not far from many of the spectacular attractions of the area. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice quiet getaway.”
Cozy, clean, private guest suite on residential street. Close proximity to the Smoky Mountains, the University of Tennessee and Maryville College.
“Susan's place was perfect for a weekend dog getaway. The private driveway and entrance was just what II needed for my early morning departures and late night arrivals. There was candy, coffee, tea and bottled water left for my enjoyment. The shower was nice and roomy and perfect pressure after spending 12 hours outside in June heat. There is no stove, as shown in the ad so big cookers may not enjoy the place and the microwave is on top of the fridge where it might be hard to reach for shorter people. My dogs and I loved the place and hope to stay again.”
Traveler's Nest is located in Blount County on The Dragon - a stretch of highway that attracts visitors from all over the world with breath-taking scenery and for the challenge of driving the extreme curves. It is less than 20 minutes from McGhee Tyson Airport, 30 minutes from The University of Tennessee and less than an hour from The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There are many local restaurants and shops to explore and a ton of outdoor activities to enjoy.
“We had a great time here though it was one night! We weren’t expecting the binder with all the hiking spots and dining recommendations, maps and more! Considering we wanted to go hiking the day we arrived, it was super helpful and helped us pick a spot to go quickly!! Cillia provided baked goods for all three of us! (3 blueberry muffins which are my fave!) there were small snacks in the TV stand, perfect to grab a few nature valley bars put in our bag when we went hiking! The bathroom is stocked with everything you might need if you forgot something! (Toothbrush, toothpaste, bandaids, contact holders and solution, etc.) There are notes posted inside and outside to answer any questions you might have about the room. Where the towels are stored, where to put the used towels when you leave, what to do with the trash, and a note saying you are allowed to use any games they have in the garage and enjoy the backyard! We only stayed 1 night, but we sure wanted to break out the cornhole set! Overall, 10/10 from how clean it was when we arrived, to the seamless stay and checkout! If we come back to the area, we will for sure be coming back to the Traveler’s Nest!”
