“Cheryl’s place is a lovely cottage, I could have moved in. The cottage has everything you need for your stay. Little extra touches like toiletries, tea, coffee, milk, cleaning supplies. An extra special welcome will be waiting for you. The views are spectacular and this really is a getaway from everything. The weather wasn’t as nice as we’d hoped which meant we spent less time exploring but more time at this lovely property. The bed was comfy and the room spacious. Kitchen space is perfect for cooking and dining in with views over the open countryside. We hope to return.”
Newly refurbished, light and peaceful space with dedicated off-road parking and private entrance. The flat is perfect whether you are in the area on business, visiting friends and family or looking to explore. We are less than 5 minutes drive/cycle from Barnstaple town centre and only 2 minutes from the A361 (North Devon Link Road), with easy access from the M5. There are cycle and footpaths at the end of the road giving off road access to the Tarka Trail.
“I had a lovely stay at Emma's place - it was a nice, cosy space to come back to after a day of walking on the coast path. The flat was spotless and had everything I needed for cooking my own meals. The breakfast bits etc were a nice extra touch. A relaxing place to stay and I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area again.”
Rural North Devon, brand new convertion, we are rural and only 6 miles from Barnstaple, and 7 miles from Instow, near many other beaches a short drive to Westwood Ho! , the Tarka Trail where you can walk or hire a bike. There is also the South West coast path. Woolacombe, Saunton, Clovelly all within under 20 miles driving distance. Local pubs with great food within 2 miles. The hamlet only has approx. 22 houses it’s quiet. You can sit out and drink while watching the sun go down.
“We were excited about staying in The Old Stables, but it far outlived our expectations in a hugely positive way. Everything was absolutely spotlessly pristine, and all the little extra things we didn’t know we needed had been thought of, making this a truly lovely place to stay. The location is beautiful, and Barbara’s hosting was second to none. She made us feel so welcome from the start, and her local incite and knowledge was invaluable. I cannot rate this place highly enough, it was the perfect stay :)”
