Your listing’s address is available to confirmed guests, but what about potential guests in public search? You can choose how your listing location is shown by enabling/disabling Show your precise location.
- When precise location is enabled, your listing will show a pin pointing to its exact location on a map but the numerical street address will not be shared until the guest's reservation is confirmed.
- When precise location is disabled, your listing will show an approximate location. In this case, potential guests will see a small circle surrounded by a shaded circle. The shaded circle obscures the exact location and indicates that the listing is located somewhere within that area. The exact location on the map and numerical street address will not be shared until the guest's reservation is confirmed.
Hosts in the Airbnb-friendly program can also choose how your building’s location is shown to potential guests:
- When precise location is enabled, your listing will show your building’s exact location on the map. It will also allow Airbnb or your building to promote your listing, which will associate your listing with your building’s name and address. For example, your listing may be featured on your building’s Airbnb-friendly details page.
- When precise location is disabled, your listing will show your building’s approximate location on the map and your listing will not be promoted by Airbnb or your building.
Your unit number will never be shared with guests until they have a confirmed reservation.
