“I stayed with my young daughter and we both loved the room , the beds were comfortable and it was great having the bath for her. She really enjoyed being able to see and hear the ocean and we Loved the local beach which we visited several times. Mellisa had the place very clean tidy and well appointed . The heat pump warmed up too. Hope to make it back.”
Originally a 1 bedroom 1870 cottage that has been added on to over time , it sits at the base of the hills facing North and gets all day sun. The road and the river used to be the main routes to and from Dunedin with nearby Lake Waihola being classed as a "Port" with wool and stock transported out to the Port of Dunedin and supplies shipped back. The house has been extensively renovated throughout but keeps its old world charm. There is NO public transportation and a Taxi will cost around $120
“Allan's house is close to the airport, so it is very convenient for me to catch the early flight. The interior is recently done up. It is clean and has everything you need. The place is warm and Allan made it very like another home. I was offered free meal with delicious fish crumbles. We had great chat. I feel very lucky for choosing this place. Thank you Allan.”

“Clean, tidy and wonderfully peaceful location. Close to the airport, short 15-20min car trips to locations closer to the city, the ability to self check in/out was brilliant when managing odd flight arrival times from Brisbane, plus the full kitchen all make Joanna’s place a handy place to stay for any traveller.”
