Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Hennepin County

Steven's place on the Lake is a hidden gem in a suburb of Minneapolis. The yards in the neighborhood are all 1 acres and on a dead end street which provided extra privacy. Even tough he lives upstairs I never really heard him. We really enjoyed all of the water foul! There are 2 beautiful swans,geese,ducks and sea gulls The patio has a table and a rocking bench. There is a dock that can be accessed by walking down stairs. Steven has literally though of everything you might need for your stay from spices to toiletries to charging ports. Communication was perfect. The shower has great water pressure and the kitchen area doubles as the laundry room. I felt like I was back in the 50s as far as how the decor goes. Keep your eyes open for lots of cool things! The only down side is a musty smell that is most noticeable upon entering.

Super cool house! It’s clean and spacious, and everything looks just like the pictures. Lewis was a friendly host, he made sure we had everything we needed with effective communication. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Twin Cities.

Second time we have stayed at this home. It’s very clean and private. Comfortable and nicely renovated home. Also Pete is very responsive when we have questions. We would stay here again.

Our stay was fantastic. Our family of 5 (2 kids and a baby) felt right at home here. Sarah was super responsive and helpful getting us in a little earlier due to our plans during the day. The house was so fun and had everything we needed. It was quieter than we expected which was really nice having the baby. Sarah went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed and answered all questions promptly. We would definitely stay here again.

Spectacular experience! I visited Minneapolis for about a week with my partner and am so, SO glad to have found this listing. The amenities were everything I could ask for, the host was incredibly responsive and helpful, and I really felt at home during my stay! Some things we especially loved about this place:
 ⁃ Plenty of room to spread out, including a breakfast bar as well as cozy sitting spaces in the living room, entryway, AND bedroom ⁃ VERY comfortable bed with lots of extra blankets and pillows ⁃ Fully functional kitchen with great cookware, coffee and tea bar, and a well-stocked spice cabinet (just in case!) ⁃ Use of the washer/dryer!! This was a huge plus, as it allowed us to save suitcase space when packing. ⁃ Great tips and tricks about places to eat and things to do in the neighborhood ⁃ Perfect location in a beautiful area, just a few blocks from Powderhorn Park and some lovely cafes ⁃ Always had available street parking I would absolutely stay here again!

This was one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at in a very long time. It’s an actual home, so the kitchen was well stocked and we could actually use it. Really comfortable and nice vibe, with a beautiful open layout that was perfect for lounging and cooking at the same time. On top of that it was very clean, great location, and hosts were super communicative. Highly recommend!!

Colleen & Aaron made us feel so welcome and cozy! Their Lowry Garden Apartment was the loveliest weekend experience, and we’re definitely planning to return. Just a few blocks from the Minneapolis Walker Art Center, this hidden gem with its side entrance gave us the privacy we needed, but the inside held so many wonderful surprises, with its gas fireplace, vinyl albums and turntable, A+ coffee bar, full modern kitchen, and their superb attention to design and detail. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and peaceful, with the added perks of an outdoor hot tub, sauna, and magical greenhouse lounge with colorful hanging lanterns on the upper deck. Can’t beat that! Super hosts who care for your wellbeing all the way around. Thanks, Colleen & Aaron!

Excellent apartment, close to downtown. Comfy bed. Easy to get inside. Kerilyn was helpful and easy to communicate with.

Patricks place is great for a few people to stay in one place. it was easy to find in a really quiet neighborhood. Patrick was also flexible with check in and out and helping us get settled in

Jean-Claude is a fantastic host—he’s responsive and provided excellent instructions. He even went above and beyond when severe weather warnings were issued during our stay, bringing us a flashlight and pricing instructions for basement access in case it was necessary to shelter there from the storm! The space is clean and nicely laid out with plenty of space, a couch that is very comfortable (not just a cheap IKEA thing like many short-stay properties), a memory foam mattress, a gas fireplace and a huge tv. The bathroom has a large shower and the unit was bright and clean. There was off-street parking available for us most of our stay. The space is mostly quiet but the radiators in the living room make loud popping/ banging noises unexpectedly throughout the day and night that startled us every time, but we found that closing the bedroom door and using a white noise app at higher volume sufficiently covered those sounds so we could sleep well. A great place to stay!

This was a wonderfully charming Airbnb that was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully preserved vintage details! My fiancé and I rented for a week to be our home base during our wedding week (my hometown, currently out-of-state). JJ was super responsive, proactively gave clear instructions, and was super kind to leave us ample snacks (got in late) and celebrated our upcoming nuptials with a bottle of champagne, slippers, and an adorable oven mitt, spatula, and cookbook. Definitely above and beyond!!! The location felt safe with easy access to highways and it was walkable to a great coffee shop and within 10 minutes from our rehearsal dinner and wedding venue. Great value and would recommend and stay again!!! The only minor thing to note is that although the upstairs tenant was very quiet, I was woken up a few mornings by (a dog?) running around upstairs excitedly. The dog was well-behaved/quiet but because the house is older I did hear its weight shifting the floorboards around.

Tim is a good host to communicate with and to solve our concerns very quickly. The house is clean and well organized. Worth every dollar I paid. Overall great experience.

Absolutely loved our stay for our family holiday! Kitchen was extremely well stocked with plentiful coffee, dish soap, snacks, drinks, garbage bags and dishes. Spacious main floor with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and multiple sitting areas. . Wonderful place to celebrate Christmas with our young kids — we brought baby gates to block the stairs going down and up. Would definitely stay here again!

It was a 5 star stay! Some older reviews mentioned that it wasn’t that big. It was huge! Two living rooms and a movie room. It was clean. It was just great! 😊 We may be back!

Our team rented this property for a company retreat, and it couldn't have been a better fit. The entire house was immaculately clean, which made everyone feel comfortable right away. A major highlight was the integrated Sonos speaker system – having quality sound easily accessible throughout the indoor spaces and extending outdoors was a huge plus for creating the right ambiance during breaks and evening gatherings. This house provided a great environment for both productivity and team bonding. Highly recommended, especially for groups

This is a great spot for a big group! As most have shared, there is so much space to spread out. It’s a fun layout and perfect if you have a group where some like to stay up later than others. It was also a great location, close to downtown but in a quiet neighborhood. We felt perfectly safe as a group of girls. Alana was great at communicating! Kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed. Highly recommend!
