“Potato Hill is a perfect escape. The tiny house is tiny but also a great size for one or even 2. The land is gorgeous. Celine was great and brought me out firewood daily. She practiced great cleaning procedures due to COVID and talked to me about them/reviewed them with me upon arrival. Al, Smudge & Gus (donkeys) were great and so fun to visit with. Cell service in the cabin is spotty but worked well out at the fire pit. The birds sing all day and the stars at night look amazing. The sound of the babbling brook was relaxing. The bed is comfy. Would recommend bringing a cooler with ice and maybe some water (fridge is small) The shower is also small - functional but small. Went to Buzzardroost rock trail during the day and it was a moderate hike out to a BEAUTIFUL & breathtaking point where you stand above the trees (HIGHLY Recommend).”
Experience a slice of Americana in this 200 year-old historic river front cottage. Unwind on the cozy front porch, enjoy the sound of the water from the dock and relax in comfort in the charming cottage full of character and modern amenities. The house is perfect for gathering groups of families and friends to experience the history of the town or play on the river and surrounding creeks.
“Michael is a great communicator and made us feel very welcome before we even arrived. All the beds were very comfortable and the entire home was clean and homey. This is an historic home so don't be surprised that the steps to upstairs are pretty steep and narrow. There are two queen beds and a twin downstairs with easy access for we 'oldsters'. Our granddaughters loved the upstairs.”
You’ll love my place because of the views and the quiet. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway from the stress of the city, just 1 hr. drive from downtown Cincinnati on a scenic two lane highway (no traffic jams).
“This place was a special find! Higginsport offered an incredibly beautiful location on the banks of the Ohio River with barges gently passing by. Cindy was a warm and welcoming host and we immediately felt at home in the relaxing accommodations. The historic qualities of the property and the location were an added benefit. I am so glad we decided to stay here. We will definitely return when we are in the area again!”
