“Unfortunately my car broke down on the morning of the day we would check in to Jenny's place, obviously way to late to cancel, I rang her to tell her we wouldn't be able to stay, she was very friendly and supportive and even send me the money back! So sad I never got to meet her and stay at the place but so happy she is such a thoughtful person.”
Welcome! Just 5 Kilometres along the road winding its way from Swifts Creek through Cassilis and on up to Omeo, is a Miners Cottage, but not just any miners cottage. Well established in the Omeo Region, The Miners Cottages offer complete solitude and total comfort along with a convenient location from which to access the region's services and attractions. Absolutely delightful setting at any time of the year, the gardens adjoin Native Bushland, and the birds and other wildlife love to visit.
“Such a delightful place to stay, the cottage was cosy and comfortable with everything we needed supplied. The gardens were just gorgeous with all the large trees in full autumn display. I was staying there with elderly parents and a grandchild and it was perfect for both, safe level walking paths, outdoor settings under the trees and lots of space for the little one to run around in the gardens. Jason and Lyn were very helpful and accommodating, thankyou!”
In the heart of the Alpine High Country this quiet tranquil retreat is within a stones throw of the Tambo River and only one hours drive to the snow fields. A very comfortable fully self contained cottage situated 1km north of Swifts Creek on the Great Alpine Road.
“Often it's the little things that make a trip memorable. That's exactly what we got with this stay - an Easter bunny on the table on arrival, a Bluetooth speaker to play some music, a stash of interesting teas & coffee and an assortment of kids toys. Beds were super comfortable and the space was cozy and warm. Check in was seamless and self managed which is perfect for this location when travel times are a lot slower than expected due to the winding mountain roads. Kitchen was small but well stocked with cooking equipment but the local pub has great meals so no need to be concerned about cooking.”
