“The location on the mountain is only suitable for self-driving people. I played a little late in Aso, and in the evening I hurried to the homestay and forgot the route suggested by the head of the household. I took the advice of google map and took the most difficult road in the legend! Novice driving is really not recommended, especially at night! It is recommended to take Route 8 or follow the route of the head of the household. The house is huge! There are three bedrooms. The house is clean and well-equipped. You can see the sunrise in the morning and the stars in the evening. The environment is beautiful. There is a stove in the middle of the house, but I do n’t know how to use it, there are no instructions for use, and there is no firewood in the room. It would be even better if it could be used!”

From the terrace next to the living room, you can see Mt. Yazu and Mt. Hiei in front of you, and you can relax while enjoying the magnificent mountain view.

“From the moment we entered Sankaku House, we knew we were in good hands with Asuka-san and her beaming smile. There's a charm to the place that you won't find elsewhere in Takachiho, and much of that comes from Asuka-san's incredible hospitality and personality. As a host, she lives and works on-site, which makes her always available to tend to any needs or questions one may have - like losing a credit card after dark on the street and requiring a phone call and trip to the police station (we found the card, all thanks to Asuka-san!). We had a wonderful night of conversation with Asuka-san and other guests, and then after an early morning watching sunrise at Kunigamigaoka we returned to a delicious home-cooked breakfast by Asuka-san (only 500 yen!! - on request). On returning to Takachiho in the future I will without a doubt stay with Asuka-san again - her hospitality is unparalleled and you'll have a splendid time as we did on our one night.”
