Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Hohnstein

Spacious home in a quiet town with nice views. The owner is always in touch and responds quickly. The house is clean, has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The territory of the house is a little neglected but very large and nice, there is even a small pond with fish. The location is good for quiet peaceful walks. Our stay at the house, overall, went great. But for dog owners, there may be a few small disadvantages: 1. There are a few steps at the entrance of the house, they are made of an iron grate with large holes. Even the paws of the not very small dog fall through there. Our Australian Shepherd jumped them so as not to step on those stairs. But if you have a dog with health problems and can't jump, or a small dog - you probably have to bring it in your hands every time. 2. There are many trails to walk around, but they are all narrow, along the pastures, which are fenced with electric fences.

We used the house over Easter for a family trip of six. There was everything your heart desires: from the large fridge, the very well-equipped kitchen with attached dining room, bedrooms with good mattresses to the top equipped common areas with many play opportunities. Even in bad weather you can have a very good time here. Fortunately, the sun was shining, so we explored the beautiful area. The property is large and fenced. Our dog was able to move freely, we made a campfire with the available wood and grilled outside. Really nice was the covered dining area with benches: great views! Beautiful and historically significant excursion destinations are nearby: We took a hike to Helfenburg (12 min. to parking lot) and visited the Theresienstadt concentration camp on the day of departure (just under 20 min.) - be sure to see! Hiking opportunities right by the house. In 1 word: great!!!

Accomodation was spotless, well furnished with all the amenities needed. We really enjoyed having the possibility to use the bbq. Really recommended for a getaway weekend.

We had 2 wonderful weeks! From the house you could reach many great hiking destinations within a short time, the absolutely worthwhile hikes to the Lilienstein and the Brand even on foot (including a large "off-road" dog!). We felt very comfortable in the house after long, fulfilling hikes, although our dog (who is absolutely "stair-hiking-friendly") avoided the stairs down to the kitchen. You should know that the bathroom and kitchen are on the lower floor and the living room/bedroom are on the upper floor. We didn't miss anything, so we can only recommend the accommodation and this fairytale spot on earth!

A beautiful house in great surroundings, right on forest and meadows. Particularly beautiful is the large garden and the very child-friendly equipment inside and out. We had a great family time at Jan's place:)

We stayed with 10 family members in the house by the lake (6 adults and 4 teenagers). The house is situated in a quiet environment directly on the lake. The house is very nicely decorated, the bedrooms all wonderfully comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. You can cook very well together and in the living room we had comfortable space at the large dining table. We enjoyed the hours of sun reading outside - there are many nice seating in front of the house and on the two terraces. Shopping is easily accessible by car in a few minutes, and Pirna is also quick. We took the S-Bahn to Dresden, for hiking in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains about 30 minutes by car. Susi and Thomas are great hosts and communication with them was very good. It was a beautiful Easter holiday with the family and we can only recommend the house on the lake.

We had a wonderful long weekend at David's and Jarka's place. The apartment provided everything we needed and, in person, it felt even bigger and more beautiful than in the pictures. We appreciated being able to park right at the building, easily find nearby restaurants (including vegetarian options), and have space to cook and work in the flat. We’ll definitely come back in the future!

We were twice lucky with Anne and the apartment because we had to quickly find a new apartment after a last-minute cancellation. Anne was super quick and competent and we were able to move into the apartment immediately. The location in the new town at Alaunpark is fantastic. Good restaurants are within easy walking distance. The apartment is spacious with beautiful views of the park. The large kitchen has everything you need. Anne is a great hostess. We will be happy to come back.

Beautiful spacious apartment. We lacked nothing. Beautiful large garden and the weather was as painted for the 10 days. In the apartment there was everything you needed - we lacked nothing. If we're in the area again, we'll be back.

We enjoyed the stay very much, because Lyn and Marcel were very hospitable and the apartment was very centrally located, so we could reach the city center on foot.

We already stayed in the apartment for the second time – and it was completely perfect again! The apartment is modernly furnished and equipped with everything you need. Ideal for a relaxing stay. We'd love to come back – thanks for everything!

The apartment was just as described. Directly close to the highway and yet totally quiet and the view over the whole city is unique. The beds were very comfortable, which I always find very important. There were all shopping opportunities nearby. Christian is a very good host and was always available. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back.

We were guests at Marion's for one night because of a family celebration. The property is very quiet and the contact with Marion was very friendly

A great quiet place )Who is looking for a break from the big cities is just that. The city of Doxy is a beautiful lake,a beautiful forest ,there are many castles nearby that are worth visiting. The hostess of the apartment is very nice 🥰 The apartment itself is small but very clean and comfortable . I think this place will be very nice in summer.

We had a great time at Rene and Heiki's place. The place is well decorated and looks much better than in the photos. The associated parking lot is only a few 100 meters away and the car is safely in a parking garage. You can walk to many restaurants and bars, as well as Sonnenstein Castle and the memorial (highly recommended!!). The popular hiking destinations are also only a relatively short drive away. It took us less than 20 minutes to get to the parking lot of the Bastei Bridge. I had via WhatsA. Contact with Rene and he was always very friendly and responded quickly. Towels and bed linen were clean and the kitchen sufficiently equipped. All in all we had a great stay and can fully recommend the place. Thank you for everything!

The place is very clean, cozy, quiet and true to the description. It is also a good starting point for relaxed or more challenging hikes, you can walk directly from the house and are on mystical trails in just a few minutes. Having a car is already an advantage to explore the rest of Saxon Switzerland. On foot, in about 20 minutes you are in Königstein at the train station or supermarket. The garden behind the house was the icing on the cake for us, there is plenty of space to relax and you can enjoy the atmosphere close to nature. Thank you for this wonderful stay, we will be happy to come back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The apartment is spacious, bright, and very comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Everything was spotlessly clean and well prepared, with all the equipment in the flat ready to use and in great condition. The kitchen was excellent — well laid out, modern, and fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking. The neighbourhood is calm and safe, with a grocery store just a few minutes’ walk away. The location is fantastic — you can walk to the city centre easily, yet the area around the flat is quiet and peaceful. Arrival was simple thanks to the easy access via code, and we had no trouble finding a parking spot right in front of the building. Communication with the hosts was smooth and friendly throughout. We felt very welcome and would gladly stay again. Highly recommended!
